If you’re mourning the loss of Taco Bell’s Cheesy Burrito Dippers, mama, I can relate. We’re all here for you during this difficult time—but no one more so than our close friend, Moe. So put those tissues down and get in the car, Elizabeth

First, let’s get our facts straight: Cheesy Burrito Dippers are no longer at Taco Bell.

Last year, in late December, Taco Bell brought back the Cheesy Burrito Dippers for about a month. They stayed on the menu through most of January and then, poof, gone. I swear I remember seeing them in a drive-thru window sooner than that, but I think January 2026 was just the longest month in human history. My sense of time has completely derailed. Point is: They’re gone.

At Taco Bell, at least.

Moe’s Southwest Grill just added “Grilled Burrito Dippers” to the menu.

Subtle, Moe. Subtle. But I won’t shame you for copying Taco Bell, who dangles those burrito dippers in front of my face on a fishhook every year for one month (they did basically the same thing in January 2025) and then lets me drown at sea.

Oh, and if you’re a Moe’s rewards member, you get a free Grilled Burrito Dipper with any purchase until August 30th.

What exactly is a Cheesy Burrito Dipper? And is Moe’s version an exact dupe?

Let’s do a side-by-side comparison.

Taco Bell’s Cheesy Burrito Dippers: flour tortillas rolled into tight mini burritos and grilled until crispy, with seasoned beef or chicken, a melted three cheese blend, and rice inside. They were sliced into dunkable pieces and served with your choice of three dipping sauces: Creamy Garlic Sauce, Creamy Chipotle Sauce, or Nacho Cheese Sauce.

Moe’s Grilled Burrito Dippers: mini flour tortilla burritos filled with your choice of protein (steak, chicken, or ground beef), Oaxaca cheese, and queso. They’re served with four dipping sauce options: Chipotle Ranch, Poblano Crema, Chili Lime, or Moe’s Sauce… and you can get free tortilla chips and salsa on the side. Heck. Yeah.

So no, not an exact one-to-one dupe. Moe’s is definitely cheesier. But it’s close enough. Sometimes you have to make the most of the opportunities life has to offer you. And on that note: Did you get in the car, Elizabeth? Good. Let’s go. We’ve got business to take care of. Toodles!

Sadly, I can never move back to my home state, Florida, because even if the seafood is totally unmatched, there aren’t enough Mediterranean or Korean restaurants to keep me sane.
