It’s a tale as old as time: a food or drinks company brings out a limited-edition item, and the people flock. That effect feels particularly potent when the event that said item is being brought out for only occurs once every 250 years. Such is the case with Mountain Dew’s new America Pack, which is part of the broader American Dew concept spearheaded by the brand for the country’s 250th anniversary. This pack, which contains Code Red, Voltage, and White Out, has been in the works for a couple of months now, and it’s finally arrived.

And guess what? People are into it. Let’s check out how they’re responding.

250 Years of Independence Calls for Limited-Edition Mountain Dew Flavors

The arrival of Mountain Dew’s America Pack was confirmed in a Reddit post by a customer who spotted it in a Hy-vee in Iowa. We’re pleased to see that this variety pack, which contains 18 cans, has all of the flavors that we suspected it would when we discussed it a little while back. The customer who posted a picture of the America Pack stated that it costs $12.99, and you get six cans of each flavor.

It’s fair to say that the immediate response to the America Pack was one of joy. “Its.. its… BEAUTIFUL,” said one Redditor, with another stating, “I’m about to go bankrupt.” Others took slight issue with the designs of the cans, which have been rejigged for this release, but hey – as long as it tastes the same, we think most people will be pretty happy.

A Whiteout in Summer

Although people are generally pleased about this Mountain Dew release, there’s one specific positive that most folks are picking up on: The presence of Mountain Dew White Out. We first heard rumblings of this flavor coming back for the America Pack in March, and now that it’s here, in the flesh, people are very happy. The Reddit post was flooded with comments saying that White Out is the star attraction here, and that people wish they could buy it separately from the other two. Unfortunately, Mtn Dew isn’t gonna make it that easy for you, folks – you’ll have to put up with the six cans each of Code Red and Voltage if you want to re-acquaint yourself with that flavor.

We’d imagine that this pack will disappear very swiftly after July 4, so you’ve got a good few months to get your hands on it. Maybe it’ll come back for the 300th anniversary. Who knows?
