It feels like there’s a new Mtn Dew flavor every other week. Even when there isn’t a new Baja Blast dropping stateside, Mountain Dew releases something overseas. And who are we to ignore those foreign flavors? Enter: Mountain Dew Zero Sugar Blue, a South Korea exclusive flavor that we got our Mtn Dew-loving mitts on.
Mountain Dew Zero Sugar Blue is a brand new flavor that, according to soda superstan Team Supernova, hit shelves in late May. It’s sold exclusively in cans in South Korea. Blue Zero Sugar is described as having a lemon and black raspberry flavor, and is only offered in zero sugar. Interestingly, the artwork seems to be borrowed from a flavor in the United States: Applebee’s Dark Berry Bash. But, as Dark Berry Bash is blue raspberry and blackberry flavored, I expect appearances is where the similarities end.
It may be hard for readers to track this one down (you can snag some on eBay, but you’ll pay $30-$60 for a single can). However, thanks to Panax over on the Dew Drinker Discord (yes, of course, there is a Mountain Dew-centered Discord server) and his Dew Market, we were able to secure a few cans of Mountain Dew Zero Sugar Blue to try! Here’s our review.

While this new blue Mountain Dew isn’t my favorite flavor of Mountain Dew (Supernova will always hold that honor), it’s certainly a tasty new Mountain Dew flavor that I would definitely consider tracking down again.
Pros: This blue Mountain Dew is VERY flavorful! First, you’re hit with a light and pleasant lemon flavor, which is quickly followed up by a berry flavor that reminds me more of blackberry rather than raspberry. This won’t be a “pro” for everyone, but the aftertaste is a bit like Spark Zero, which is one of my favorite zero sugar flavors of Mountain Dew. It’s a lot less acidic than most zero sugar Mountain Dew flavors, and I find it to be very refreshing. This is definitely one of the better flavors of zero sugar Dew.
Cons: There’s no denying this blue Mountain Dew is a zero sugar flavor of Mountain Dew. There is a very strong artificial sweetener aftertaste that you very commonly get with other Mountain Dew Zero Sugar flavors, especially (as mentioned in the “pros” column) Mountain Dew Spark Zero Sugar. However, if you’re a fan of zero sugar drinks, there is definitely a spot for this Dew in your fridge and in your heart.

This sounds like something I’d really enjoy trying. As a diabetic, I only drink Mtn Few Zero, but it is often hard to find. When Mtn Few Zero Creamy Coconut came out I grabbed a few cases, but now it isn’t on the shelves. I love it as a mixer with Rum. Most products that have Zero versions, have minimal quantities on the shelf and usually run out. If they were smart, they would supplyore since they seem to always sell out.
Sounds good. But why won’t Mountain Dew put out a Zero Sugar Code Red?!! I love that flavor. It’s irritating that they make other flavors in Zero Sugar but not Code Red!
So Code Red Zero Sugar is in a weird spot. It does exist in a very small capacity and was planned to release on a nationwide scale – but for whatever reason was cancelled. Pepsi doesn’t produce it in any capacity but it is made by independent factories in the Midwest. Illinois, Ohio, and a few more states have it.
Nothing can top Mountain dew Pitch Black
The only thing that beats Pitch Black for me is Supernova, but Pitch Black is my number 2!
I think the new blue mountain dew is perfect.
