It’s National Peanut Butter Day! For a good chunk of the population who are allergic to peanuts, it’s a real nightmare of a holiday. But for the rest of us it’s a great opportunity to revel in the creamy (or crunchy) spread. We love it off a spoon, obviously, or in a sandwich or on apple slices. But we’ve also come across a few truly delicious peanut butter snacks throughout the course of our taste tests. Here are 5 of the best peanut butter snacks to dive into on National Peanut Butter Day.

Kirkland Peanut Butter Pretzels

These are the Champagne of peanut butter pretzels. These nuggets are big and filled with creamy, smooth, high-quality peanut butter. Yes, you have to buy a giant tub. But believe us, you’ll go through them.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Drumstick

Chocolate ice cream surrounding a peanut butter core, all encased in chocolate and sprinkled with peanuts? Hell yeah. This is the kind of cone you eat by yourself so you don’t have to worry about your inevitable chocolate mustache.

Reese’s Take 5

As a peanut butter lover, I believe this is the perfect candy bar. You get peanut butter, chocolate, peanuts, caramel, and pretzels, all in one chunky hunk of a candy bar. I really don’t know why companies bother putting out new candy bars when the platonic ideal already exists.

Back to Nature Peanut Butter Creme Cookies

These are cookies you can technically classify as snacks. They’re sweet and salty, buttery and crumbly, and shockingly vegan. They are peanut butter cookies that really put the emphasis on the peanut butter, perfect for the holy day of National Peanut Butter Day.

Little Debbie Nutty Buddy Cake Bars

Little Debbie really outdid herself with these. The yellow cake is moist, the chocolate coating is thin and delicate, and the peanut butter filling is perfectly proportioned—as in, there’s a lot of it.

Justine Sterling

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
