Nerds Juicy Gummy Clusters Are Finally Here and They’re Perfect

Late last month, I wrote a news story for Sporked about how I had “a feeling” we’d see the retail launch of Nerds Juicy Gummy Clusters soon—even though the brand had yet to announce a release date for the candy they unveiled back in May. Five days later, I got an email announcing the launch of Nerds Juicy Gummy Clusters! I’m not saying I spoke this release into existence, but I have been repeating “Dr Pepper GHOST Energy” into the mirror every day just in case.

Per the brand, Nerds Juicy Gummy Clusters are available now at select retailers in three different pack sizes. And the good folks at Nerds were kind enough to mail over samples ahead of time. I managed to hold back from eating the entire stock so I could take formal tasting notes—no small feat, as you’ll soon read. Let’s crack open the National Confectioners Association’s Most Innovative Candy of 2025 and see if it’s earned the title.

Pros: This review is just a formality, right? We all knew these were going to be amazing. I’m actually glad we’ve never reviewed the original Nerds Gummy Clusters here on Sporked; I’d have to request that the OG candy get bumped down to 9 so these could take their rightful place at the top of the mountain. First off, they’re twice the size—more Nerds and gummy per cluster? I’ve said it before and I’ll repeat it now: They could have stopped there. I would happily slam a bag of Nerds Jumbo Gummy Clusters, but these confectionary heroes knew we deserved more. That “more” comes in the form of a gooey, juicy strawberry center. Hallelujah. We can stop making new fruity candies; we’re not beating this.

Cons: This candy is a lot of things, but I’m not sure it’s innovative. While it did win an award for being most innovative, it’s definitely just a better-tasting Gusher coated in Nerds. I’m not mad, I’m just surprised at the specific award this amazingly delicious candy won.
