Nestlé Toll House’s Summerween Range Is Coming

You spend your whole life not hearing a portmanteau that’s apparently been floating around for ages, and then, like buses, two mentions come at once. I’d never registered the term “Summerween” until today, when I was writing on the growing desire for Halloween candy year-round – and now, the word is rattling around in my head. And I’m gonna have to think about it a little more, too, thanks to Nestlé and its incoming range of Halloween Toll House cookie doughs, which are arriving at a very Summerween-y time (ie., right now).

But what are we getting this year from one of the biggest purveyors of premade dough? Let’s break it down. 

Nestlé Toll House Cookie Doughs

As was ever thus, @candyhunting came through with the news about Nestlé’s Halloween (or Summerween, or whatever you wanna call it) Toll House Cookie Dough range coming back to stores in the imminent future. This year, there are two returning flavors, and four new ones. Let’s start with the new ones, ‘cos that’s probably more fun:

• Scooby-Doo Cookie Dough: Is Scooby-Doo the most Halloween-y of all cartoons? Maybe. In any case, Nestlé’s running with it this year, with a sugar cookie dough and Scooby themed sprinkles. 
• Fall Cinnamon Sugar Cookie Dough: A not especially Halloween-focused dough here, but one that I like the sound of. Cinnamon cookie dough with cinnamon flakes and festive sprinkles. 
• Football Cookie Dough: Celebrate Summerween with…football! Okay then! This one’s a sugar cookie dough with rather fun football-shaped chocolate-flavored morsels.
• Mexican Hot Chocolate Flavored Cookie Dough, inspired by Abuelita: A team-up of two Nestlé brands here, with a cocoa cookie dough, milk chocolate morsels, and cinnamon notes. This one’s gonna be a Target exclusive, and it’ll be landing next month. 

And then, on the returning front…

• Pumpkin Spice Cookie Dough: Would it be fall without pumpkin spice? Nope – and Toll House knows it. A pumpkin spice cookie dough with white candy morsels throughout.
• Trick-or-Treats Cookie Dough: Now we’re feeling Halloween-y! Chocolate cookie dough, butterscotch-flavored morsels, and festive sprinkles.

These Nestlé Toll House doughs will, unless I’m thoroughly mistaken, be available pretty widely, and they should be rolling out (hehe, get it, dough, rolling out) imminently – although they haven’t shown up just yet on Walmart or Target’s website. All in good time, all in good time. As ever, these will be limited-edition, so if you wanna get your spook on with the help of your oven, act relatively swiftly.
