The New Arizona Flavor Is Dole Whip Coded

I still remember the day that I realized Arizona “tea” isn’t good for you—what a strange day that was. First of all, I thought because the original flavors we teas, all the flavors were teas. Wrong. Prior to turning my Mucho Mango Arizona (fruit juice cocktail) around and seeing the sugar content, I thought the giant cans of “tea” I was drinking were beneficial to my health in the same way that hot herbal teas are, reducing stress and boosting immunity. Yeah…not my brightest moment, but I was 16, so like literally whatever, as I probably said at the time. And I stand by that. Whatever. Arizona tastes good and it’s cheap. I’m glad they’ve stuck to their sugary guns in this low-cal world. In fact, the new Arizona flavor might be their sweetest yet: Say hello to Arizona Whipped Pineapple Orange Fruit Juice Cocktail! Arizona and their refined sugars will not back down!

So, basically a Dole Whip Arizona flavor? Or what?  

This new flavor is Whipped Pineapple Orange, not just pineapple orange. But this isn’t soft serve like actual Dole Whip, it’s fruit juice cocktail—so what does “whipped” really mean here? My prediction is that this is Arizona’s shot at making something like a cream soda, minus the carbonation. Just think about your favorite orange soda, and then think about that brand’s orange cream soda—it’s sweeter and has a richness that is reminiscent of ice cream. Whipped Pineapple Orange Arizona will probably taste like Pineapple Arizona + Orangeade Arizona + the familiar vanilla flavor that nods to cream soda. Now, does that sound good? We’ll have to wait and see. To me, it sounds like it might be good if it’s really cold. 

When and where is the new Whipped Pineapple Orange Arizona available? 

The new Whipped Pineapple Orange Arizona will be available in the classic 22 oz cans exclusively at 7-Eleven beginning in June. My advice: Skip the nutrition facts on this one and have yourself a sweet, sweet time.
