What’s New at Aldi This Week (Including Some Trader Joe’s Dupes)

We’ve got it all at Aldi this week! Memorial Day BBQ items, a few global flavors to replace a big summer trip if you can’t make one work, and two Trader Joe’s dupes. Seriously, this is a big week. There were a lot of things to choose from among the star-studded lineup that Aldi’s given us this week. I won’t hold you any longer. Let’s get into the fun things that you can find at Aldi this week.

Specially Selected Sriracha Brioche Buns (5/20; $2.99)

Sick of spreading the sriracha into your burger yourself? Boy, do I have good news for you. It’s a niche product that I’m sure will find a home among Aldi shoppers, especially considering how deep the love for sriracha runs. 

Clancy’s Sea Salt or Cinnamon Churro Sweet Potato Chips (5/20; $2.99)

Aldi heard about our love for their cinnamon churros and wanted to give us something new. While I’m sure they won’t be a dupe to Taco Bell’s Cinnamon Twists, they’re still a welcomed addition.

Mama Cozzi’s Tuscan Chicken or Mediterranean Style Flatbread Pizza (5/20; $4.79)

If you can’t afford that big trip to Italy this year, get the next best thing. “The next best thing is a flatbread pizza from Aldi?” Yeah, obviously! Especially when you can get it topped with chicken, spinach, roasted tomatoes, and garlic (Tuscan Chicken) or tomatoes, black olives, spinach, artichokes, and feta cheese (Mediterranean Style).

Park Street Deli Dessert Dip (5/20; $2.99)

We love a good dip at Aldi—and especially an Aldi dessert dip. Park Street Deli is releasing two dessert dips this week: Mexican Wedding Cookie and Horchata. Get a bag of cannoli chips and go to town on these sweets.

Savoritz Asian Rice Cracker Mix (5/20; $2.99)

Aldi’s coming for Trader Joe’s throne. Will Aldi’s sweet and savory rice cracker mix hold up to Trader Joe’s? Only time will tell but trust that we’ll be here to test it for ourselves.

Sundae Shoppe Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwiches (5/20; $4.89)

Dang, Aldi is really reheating Trader Joe’s nachos this week. First the rice cracker mix and now this. While the chocolate chip ice cream sandwich isn’t a unique idea, I can’t help but think this is Aldi’s attempt at taking sales from Trader Joe’s sublime ice cream sandwiches.
