April kicks off with a day dedicated to deception, only to usher us straight into a month of soggy weather with the promise of blossoming flowers (aka pollen-filled sneeze factories). But even the most cynical curmudgeons (who, us?) have something to love about April: new Trader Joe’s products.

True to form, TJ’s puts their innovative spin on a spring lineup that will help you pack a promising picnic, mix up your meal prep, or simply enjoy a stellar snack as the birds chirp, the bees buzz, and the bunnies, um, hug.

Here are six things we’re excited to see on Trader Joe’s shelves this April.

Hot Honey Mustard

We feel like we’ve been saying “hot honey’s having a moment” for years, but it’s true! And it’s well-earned. Just in time to swoop in and save those bland cookout burgers and dogs, this flavorful fave of a dipping sauce combines the sweetness of honey and creaminess of mayonnaise to temper the spice of cayenne pepper, pungency of mustard, and acidity of vinegar. A healthy dollop of this zippy sauce will open up your sinuses right up, so it definitely counts as medicine for seasonal allergies. Take five spoonfuls with a soft pretzel and call us in the morning.

Mushroom Shaped Gummy Candies

Trader Joe’s new sour mushroom shaped gummies would be right at home on a storybook page. The chewy delights are sour on the outside from sanding sugar, have a sweet, apple-y inside, and picking up a bag is a lot safer than foraging.

Whipped Carrot Cake Cream Cheese Spread

There are two types of people: people who love carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and people who are wrong. If you want a shortcut to the classic spring flavor combination, look no further than this light, sweet-yet-tangy spread that starts with a fluffy cream cheese and incorporates dried carrots, carrot powder, brown sugar, and warm spices. We don’t all have time to bake a carrot cake and whip cream cheese frosting, but most of us can pencil in the self-care that is taking a spoon (or a shovel) to this container and going to town.

Garlic Butter Nut Mix

This product is all green flag, all the way. Snackability. Garlic. Nuts. An excuse to say “butt.” Nut mixes are basically buffets in a tin, perfect for when we’re peckish but indecisive, and want a little excitement. With a mixture of almonds, pecans, cashews, and bread chips that have all been generously coated in flavorful garlic butter, a handful of this stuff is like Russian Roulette, but every outcome is good!

Sugar Cookie Dough Flowers

If April showers really do bring May flowers, these better be the flowers. Those with a black thumb can still enjoy nurturing flowers, by simply baking and eating these springtastic pucks of ready-to-cook classic sugar cookie dough. Note that baking and eating is not how you nurture regular flowers. If you needed our reminder on that, maybe just stick to plastic plants.

Stuffed Poblano Peppers

Bread bowls. Potato skins. Sundaes in waffle cups. We love when a food is its own boat, and stuffed peppers are no exception. Each pack of TJ’s stuffed poblano peppers comes with two savory, slightly spicy poblano pepper halves full of brown rice, fresh corn, white meat chicken, a creamy cilantro and herb sauce, and Monterey jack cheese. All aboard the SS Delicious!
