Blue Bell Just Dropped Its First New Flavor of the Year

Cult-favorite ice cream brand, Blue Bell, just released a new ice cream flavor—and they’re bringing back a fan-favorite. Here’s what’s coming from Blue Bell.

Iiiiit’s ice cream time! Finally. We made it, people. You might reach for a pint of ice cream in the first months of the year on the reg, but let’s be honest – in most places, it’s not really the weather for it. Ice cream companies know this, too, and so while they might drop flavors here and there at the top of the calendar or tease products that they have lined up, the really big drops often come just as the weather starts to turn.

And when they come, they come like buses. Just yesterday, we announced that Drumstick has released a new Cake Pop flavor, and today, it’s Blue Bell’s time. The ice cream company has had a busy start to 2026 (more on that later), but now it’s kicking into gear with its first new flavor of the year: Honey Vanilla. It’s everything you want from spring. Here’s the lowdown.

Blue Bell Honey Vanilla Is Definitely…Buzzy

Blue Bell Honey Vanilla Ice Cream may not reinvent the wheel, but it looks as though it’s doing what the company does best: keeping things classic. This ice cream is a simple blend of creamy, sweet vanilla ice cream infused with the floral notes of honey. No wild flavor combos here, but that’ll be to its benefit, not least because it’ll keep it versatile. As vice president for sales & marketing at Blue Bell, Carl Breed said in the press release announcing the flavor, “Honey vanilla was created to enjoy on its own, but it also pairs well with desserts like cookies, cakes and brownies.” Yes, thank you, Carl. We’ll be eating it with all of those things. 

Blue Bell Honey Vanilla comes in a pint size, and it’s arriving in stores pretty much imminently (you can head over to the Blue Bell website to check where it’s in stock near you). At the moment, it’s only available for a limited time.

Wake Up with Coffee

Alongside the release of Honey Vanilla, Blue Bell also announced that it was bringing back another of its much-loved flavors. Blue Bell Java Jolt, first released in 2023, is making a comeback. This ice cream combines Blue Bell’s classic Coffee flavor with a coffee fudge swirl and dark chocolate chunks. It’s as good an excuse to eat ice cream in the morning as any.

Although Honey Vanilla is Blue Bell’s first new drop of the year, it’s been busy reviving old favorites and teasing new products elsewhere. Just last week, it brought back its fan-favorite King Cake flavor, just in time for Mardi Gras. It’s also been teasing its new protein ice cream, which is due to arrive in stores this Spring, and which sees the ice cream company jumping on the protein trend that’s sweeping the world. Pretty soon, you won’t be able to move for new Blue Bell flavors – but let’s start with Honey Vanilla.
