We can only assume that the good folks at Burger King are going to be taking a long holiday in the second half of the year – because judging by how much they’ve been doing at the top of 2026, they’re building up to a bit of relaxation. The chain has had a busy old time of late, between bringing back its apple pie and giving away free breakfast to the masses. Its biggest move in 2026 so far, though, has been the release of its new classic Whopper (which we concluded is pretty good). What can we say? This place is all about the burgers.

And it looks like BK’s not done just yet. Hot on the heels of its OG Whopper’s new recipe, it’s bringing out another new variation on the form. Introducing the Peppercorn BLT Whopper. Let’s get spicy.
What’s in This New Whopper, Then?
We’re glad you asked. According to @markie_devo, the Peppercorn BLT Whopper starts with most of your classic Whopper ingredients (by which we mean your quarter-pound patty, your veggies, and its brand-new bun), and then adds on crispy bacon and melted Swiss cheese. Where things get peppery, though, is with a squirt of peppercorn aioli, which frankly sounds deeeelightful.
Burger King is also bringing out a Peppercorn BLT Whopper Jr., for those of you who want a smaller snack. So far, these new sandwiches sound pretty good to us – and definitely less controversial than the chain’s recent Impossible Bacon Burger.
When Can I Get It?
Rumor has it that BK is dropping its new Peppercorn BLT Whopper (and the Whopper Jr.) on March 31. It should be available nationwide. No word just yet on whether this will be a limited-time item, but we wouldn’t put it past them to do such a thing.
Is That the Only Thing That’s Happening on March 31 at Burger King?
Funny you ask – because no, it doesn’t look like it! @markie_devo has also teased a new Watermelon Lemonade, which looks set to drop on the same day, and which is destined to be a hit when it gets a little warmer. This new Watermelon Lemonade joins BK’s all-new take on a dirty soda, the Frozen Fanta Strawberries and Cream. Like that one, though, the Watermelon Lemonade is set to be released nationwide, although as with the Peppercorn BLT Whopper, it’s not yet apparent whether it’ll be a permanent addition or a limited-time deal. We guess we’ll have to wait a few more weeks for that one, people.
Are you gonna be trying Burger King’s new sandwich? Is Burger King’s president going to treat us to a taste test, in a bid to take another viral shot at McDonald’s? Will it be any good? We’ll have to wait and see.
