As a company, Unilever is the opposite of when you claim to like a band and are consequently forced to name three of their songs by your friend in a teeny beanie. That is to say, you may or may not have heard of Unilever, but you’ve likely heard all of their songs, because as the purveyors of everything from Dove soap and Vaseline to Popsicle, Talenti, and Breyers Ice cream, these people pretty much run our lives—for better or for worse, but let’s focus on the “better” for now. The ubiquitous conglomerate has a lot of ice cream coming at us in 2025. That’s right, we’re looking at not one, not ten, but TWENTY-ONE new frozen confections from Unilever this year, so grab a Lactaid, settle in, and let me tell you the ~scoop~.
How are there even 21 ice cream concepts we haven’t had yet? Were they just trying to match the number of Jump Streets or Pilots or the guns in a salute?
Who knows what their goal was—I am never going to say no to more ice cream, so let’s get into it.
Three new Talenti Gelato Layers flavors are coming down the pike: Italian Tiramisu, Chocolate Chip Cookie Batter, and Snickerdoodle Cookie, all of which have layers of cookies, cookie batter (in the case of the latter two), and gelato of various flavors. Each flavor comes with five distinct layers of delicious, harmonious sweet treats, and I want all of these, like, yesterday.
Breyers has the most new items coming our way, including a whole S’mores Campfire Collection that will include an ice cream, an ice cream bar, and an ice cream sandwich. These will all feature toasted marshmallow, crunchy graham cracker, and real Hershey’s chocolate. I’m a sucker for s’mores and can’t wait to try these.
Breyers is also releasing a non-dairy (oat milk-based) chocolate ice cream flavor, a Breyers x Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake Tub of ice cream based on those delicious bars from the ice cream truck, a Carb Smart version of Rocky Road, and a Carb Smart Strawberry ice cream bar.
In addition to all that, we are getting five newpopsicles from the Popsicle brand, including a Buzz Lightyear Rocket Pop (iconic); Grogu-, Olaf-, and Spiderman-shaped popsicles; and a box of Jolly Rancher Sours ice pops.
But that’s not all. Magnum is coming out with a milk chocolate ice cream bar, and Good Humor is reviving its Candy Center bar, and also releasing a bunch of new stuff, including the Chemisse Coconut & Pineapple bar (basically a frozen virgin piña colada), the Chemisse Coconut & Strawberry bar, and a Klondike x Good Humor collab that mashes up Good Humor bars and sundae cones.
Unilever’s self-proclaimed new year’s resolution was to “eat dessert first,” so to aid us all in that goal, they are releasing all of these flavors throughout the month of February. So if you see something you like, go look for it, it may just already be at a grocery store near you. Plus, you can now brag to all of your friends that you know at least half the brands Unilever owns, a flex I can guarantee none of them will see coming.
