Say what you will about Little Debbie, but she knows how to make a creme pie. And it’s not just the classic oatmeal ones—she makes chocolate, chocolate chip, jelly-filled, birthday cake, banana marshmallow, you name it, she makes it. However, there’s been a bit of a gap in Debbie’s portfolio. Yes, she’s made Fudge Rounds since 1975 and Peanut Butter Creme Pies since 2014, but never in her roughly 90 years of creme pie production has she created a creme pie flavor that put those two together. That is, until this year. Buckle your seatbelts, call your mom, and grab your nuttiest buds, because 2025 is the year of the Nutty Buddy Creme Pie.

Hold on, are we experiencing the crossover event of the century? Which parts of the Little Debbie Nutty Buddy Creme Pies will be peanut butter and which will be chocolate? When can I get one of these? Will Debbie marry me?
Yes, as a food expert, I would absolutely call this the crossover event of the century, and yes, I am aware this is not even a collab, it’s simply a lil Little Debbie snack flavor swappin’. I’m just excited because I happen to think peanut butter and chocolate go together like…well…peanut butter and chocolate, and thus have high hopes for this new pie. These pies appear to have the form factor of the Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies but with the flavors of the Little Debbie’s Nutty Buddy chocolate-covered wafer bars. The packaging describes these as “soft peanut butter cookies with a chocolatey coating & peanut butter creme.” In other words, perfection. Or at least, we hope so.
We haven’t been able to try these yet and neither can you—according to food Instagram account @snackolater, these peanut buttery pies will be officially hitting stores in March (late February at the very earliest). So until then, we will have to put our trust in Debbie that these will be the soft and fluffy peanut butter-and-chocolate dreams they have the potential to be. As for whether Debbie will marry me, the answer is “probably not” since she is a real person and has a whole company to run and a whole life and is also significantly older than me. But if she is married, I simply have to know if the cake was of the Zebra variety.
Yes, she’s married and her wedding cake was a remarkable likeness of her husband’s classical guitar. And she’s not as old as people think she is, plus she still works out 6 days a week, and is still the chairman of the board of McKee Foods. Sorry…I’m her husband and I couldn’t resist responding to this.
They need to come back with pb&j cream pies and all the others they discontinued. In rememberance of my deceased brother that loved the pb&j and he longed waited for there return but never happened..
