They’re not quite the same as the regular Popeyes biscuits, which might be a good thing.

Popeyes is no stranger to selling it’s popular products in retail stores; just last year they started offering their Mardi Gras Mustard (a creole-style mustard with horseradish) on Amazon. And now they’ve started offering a mix based on their signature buttermilk biscuits to consumers, too.

What flavors are these biscuit mixes?

Described on the box as “original Popeyes recipes,” these biscuit mixes promise 10 biscuits in 18 minutes. Priced at $3.69 each, they come in two different flavors, which is surprising as the store biscuits only come in one flavor—a basic buttery flavor with bit of buttermilk tang. (I’m not complaining, but to me, these honestly these look more flavorful and interesting than the regular Popeyes biscuit.)

Here are the flavors of Popeyes biscuit mix you can buy:

Homestyle Biscuit Mix

The more basic of the two recipes, this mix just requires water and butter to mix. Just from the pictures, these already look like they have more seasoning than the typical Popeyes biscuit, and honestly, I’m looking forward to trying them out.

Cajun Cheddar Biscuit Mix

Described as “full of Cajun flavor, with a rich blend of paprika and herbs,” these biscuits also require you to add cheddar to the mix. But the fact that you’re adding your own makes me hopeful you can really ramp up the cheese factor here. Can you tell I really miss Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuits? And yeah, I know you can still find them in stores, but I’m someone who loves piling on cheese in almost comical amounts.
