In all the hubbub and fanfare surrounding the new Oreo-flavored Reese’s, another new Reese’s Cup innovation seems to have gotten lost in the mix. There’s a new Reese’s Halloween shape hitting shelves and it sounds cute as heck: Reese’s Peanut Butter Mini Pumpkins!

How are these new Reese’s Pumpkins different from the regular Reese’s Pumpkins?

Well, they’re much, much smaller. Judging from the image on the bag, these new Reese’s Halloween shapes are around the size of an adult thumbnail. (Gross comparison, I know, but it feels the most correct.) Plus, the shape is different. These aren’t just mini versions of classic Reese’s pumpkins, they’re more spherical.

Also, these new Reese’s come unwrapped and loose in a resealable bag. These are not trick-or-treating candies. These are Halloween candies meant to be enjoyed, not given out.

Where and when can I buy new Reese’s Mini Pumpkins?

These new Reese’s Mini Pumpkins don’t appear to be exclusive to any retailer. And they’re available right now! Instagrammer @junkfoodinthetrunk3 first spotted these at their local Giant supermarket. And we found a listing on Dollar General’s website, so that might be a good place to start.

What should I do with the new Reese’s Mini Pumpkins?

These seem like great movie candies to me. Eat them by the handful or mix them in with some popcorn. Their size also makes them a great option for ice cream topping. And, of course, you can plant them in the ground and grow a full-sized Reese’s Pumpkin vine.

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
