Taco Bell’s chicken nuggets have a cult following. First launched in 2024, they have a dedicated group of fans who claim their crisp tortilla chip breading makes them superior to any other fast food nugget. And while there have been plenty of dipping sauces with which fans can enjoy the nuggs (including Diablo Ranch), the nuggets themselves have remained the same. Now, though, Taco Bell is releasing three new chicken nuggets flavors.

Diablo Dusted Crispy Chicken Nuggets

I believe Taco Bell’s Diablo sauce is the superior sauce. It’s extra spicy and it’s extra packed with smoky flavor. So I’m intrigued by these Diablo-flavored nuggets. Taco Bell turned the Diablo sauce into dust and tossed their nuggs in it. I’m in.

Doritos Cool Ranch Dusted Crispy Chicken Nuggets

Remember when the most outlandish thing Taco Bell did was make Doritos-flavored taco shells? These days, the Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco is the only remnant of those days left on the menu, but originally the brand launched with a Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco, too. It was, in my opinion, the better of the two (because Cool Ranch Doritos are the best Doritos flavor). Now, we all get to lick that dust off our fingers again with these new Cool Ranch-dusted nuggets, which come with a Cool Ranch dipping sauce. It’s a real Cool Ranch celebration.

Flamin’ Hot Dusted Crispy Chicken Nuggets

You had to have known these were coming. The final entry in Taco Bell’s trio of new nuggets is a Flamin’ Hot flavor. We recently tasted Kroger’s new Flamin’ Hot chicken tenders (review to come), and while we really enjoyed them as spicy fried chicken tenders, they were severely lacking in actual Flamin’ Hot flavor. Perhaps Taco Bell will have better success.

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
