Previously on Sporked, we reported on new Tillamook pints. It was a big deal. But those new Tillamook releases were nothing compared to today’s topic. Tillamook is expanding its frozen treat roster—and this time, it’s entering the ice cream bar game. Yes, Tillamook ice cream bars! Try not to trample each other on the way to the freezer aisle.
What are the new Tillamook ice cream bar flavors?
As reported by All Recipes, the dairy brand has added four ice cream bars to its collection: Tillamook Mudslide, Vanilla Bean, Cookies & Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chip. The box includes only four individually wrapped bars, each approximately 200 calories.
The Tillamook Mudslide flavor features chocolate ice cream swirled with fudge and chocolate chips, then enveloped in a chocolate coating. It’s the ultimate bar for chocolate lovers. Meanwhile, the Mint Chocolate Chip features mint ice cream with chocolate pieces dipped in chocolate. Although Vanilla Bean is one of the simpler bars in this line, it’s made with real crushed vanilla bean seeds that enhance its flavor. The same vanilla ice cream is used in the Cookies & Cream, which also includes crushed cookie bits and a chocolate shell.
When are these new ice cream bars available?
Right now! A quick search shows these ice cream bars are already for sale at major grocery chains like Kroger and Albertsons. And they are retailing for about $6 a box.
Will they be any good?
It’s kinda hard to imagine they wouldn’t absolutely slap. Tillamook’s ice cream had previously won us over with its attention to ingredient quality and taste, as well as its creamy texture. We tried the 14 flavors available at the time, with Peaches & Cream topping our list. Sporked managing editor, Gwynedd Stuart, even went as far as calling it the best ice cream she’d ever tasted and described it as “peach ice cream on steroids.” Tillamook’s Waffle Cone Swirl pint was a close second, blending high-quality chocolate and vanilla ice cream, a caramel swirl, and bits of waffle cone coated in chocolate.
