Trader Joe’s Is Opening 18 New Stores in 12 States, Here’s Where

Trader Joe’s sometimes has the feel of a small, niche store. Well, it isn’t. The supermarket chain might project a local image and have product designs that feel as though they’re sold at a local health store, but the truth of the matter is that it’s 42 states, and has more than 600 locations across the country. It’s big. And it’s about to get even bigger.

In the last couple of weeks, Trader Joe’s has announced a flurry of new store openings on its website, and almost 20 of them are about to spring up nationwide. In total, 12 states are about to have better access to all of those TJ’s top finds that we love so much. Here’s where’s getting new locations.

New Trader Joe’s Stores

Arizona

Tucson locals are about to be graced with a new TJ’s on East Broadway Boulevard. There are already a handful of locations in the city, but this new unit is going to be arguably one of the more central options when it arrives. 

California

Our California readers will soon have their pick of two new Trader Joe’s stores: One in Anaheim Hills, on East Santa Ana Canyon Road, and one in Paso Robles, on Golden Hill Road. Given that there are literally hundreds of TJ’s in the state, a couple more shouldn’t be any surprise. 

Florida

Trader Joe’s will soon be opening a new Orlando store on North Alafaya Trail, as well as one in West Palm Beach, on South Dixie Highway. 

Georgia

Johns Creek will be getting a new Trader Joe’s on Medley Boulevard, which is set to be the first in the city. 

Illinois

Live in Oswego? You’ve got a new TJ’s coming. The village’s store will be right on Route 34. 

Kansas

It’s official: Trader Joe’s is coming to Merriam. The new store will be located on Shawnee Mission Parkway. 

Louisiana

Louisiana will soon be seeing not one, not two, but three Trader Joe’s locations open: one in New Orleans (on Napoleon Avenue), one in Lafayette (on Camellia Boulevard), and on in Mandeville (on Highway 190). 

Massachusetts

Reading, MA, will see its first TJ’s open, right on Walkers Brook Drive. 

New Jersey

If you live in West Orange, you’ve got a brand spanking new Trader Joe’s coming your way. The store will be at 471 Mt Pleasant Avenue. 

Texas

McKinney locals will soon see a TJ’s spring up on Eldorado Parkway. It’ll be the second store in the city. 

Utah

Over in Utah, Herriman is about to see a Trader Joe’s open, at 4850 W 13400 South.

Washington

Aaaand finally, in Washington, three new Trader Joe’s stores are about to drop. Woodinville (on NE Woodinville Duvall Road), Spokane Valley (on East Sprague Avenue), and Seattle (on NE Northgate Way) will all receive a new store. 

As for when these stores will open, it’s hard to say – Trader Joe’s is never especially open about exact opening dates until they’re closer to the time – but they’re coming, people! That new Trader Joe’s lemon tiramisu is almost in reach.
