Trader Joe’s isn’t just a grocery store, it’s a hobby. It’s a lifestyle. And there are many, many, many Instagram accounts out there dedicated to spotting and reporting on the exciting new items at the store. You can’t possibly follow all of them—but we can. After combing through some of our favorites (@traderjoesobessed, @traderjoeslist, @trader_joes_trasure_hunt), here’s what we’re keeping an eye out for at Trader Joe’s this week.

Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins

I love lemon poppy seed muffins and these seem like they go heavy on the lemon. They’re made with lemon juice and lemon zest and topped with sugar to balance out all that tartness. Plus they look real big. Who doesn’t want a big ol’ muffin?

Coconut Cashew Candy Clusters

Early reviews of this sweet and crunchy snack mix have been pretty darn good. They’re clumps of cashews and coconut bound together with caramel and milk chocolate. So, yeah, I bet they are good. This is a dangerous bag to have within reach.

Earl Grey Blondie Bars

I cannot wait to try these new bars. They’re made with black tea and topped with crystal sugar. Some folks are saying there isn’t enough actual tea flavor, but I want to try them for myself to find out.

The “OG” (Old Goat) Aged Goat Cheese

This goat cheese is aged for at least ten months and is only available at Trader Joe’s for the month of April. It’s not some otherworldly new cheese flavor, but it sounds like a damn good addition to my next cheese board.

BBQ Potato Chips

Yep, basic BBQ potato chips. Trader Joe’s finally has them on the shelves and some folks are saying these are the best BBQ potato chips available—even better than the brand’s beloved Carolina Gold BBQ chips. We’ll just see about that.

About the Author

Justine Sterling

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
