Hard iced tea might be a bit of a niche outlier in the ready-to-drink beverage market, but it’s definitely on the rise (not least because RTD drinks have taken the place of vodka as the best-selling alcoholic products in the US). And Twisted Tea is perhaps the biggest name out there in the hard tea space. We’re no strangers to this brand’s flavors, and this year it’s been as busy as ever, releasing two new high alcohol teas back in January. Now that summer’s starting to heat up, though, it’s making a brand new stride by introducing lemonade into its line-up for the very first time.

That’s right, people! Twisted Lemonade is rolling out, and we’ve got the lowdown.
Twisted Tea Hard Lemonade
Twisted Tea’s new lemonade comes as part of its new Twisted Tea Summer Party Pack – and in fact, it’s only available in this party pack, so you’ll have to invest to try it. This drink is totally tea-free, and is, according to its press release, “smooth, bold, and easy‑drinking.” We’ll be the judge of that, Twisted Tea, but we’re looking forward to trying it.
Twisted Tea Hard Lemonade also comes in a cool color-changing can, which shifts to a different hue when it’s cold enough to drink. Now that’s fun. Plus, this isn’t the only beverage that the brand’s coming out with: It’s also bringing back its Twisted Tea Rocket Pop, a popsicle-flavored iced tea, which is also available in the party pack, which is finished off with Twisted Tea Original and Half & Half.
Now, it should be said that Twisted Tea’s Hard Lemonade isn’t the first lemon-flavored drink it’s put out. It’s had lemon in its lineup since its early days, after all. But this is the first time it’s gone for down-the-line lemonade, and in doing so, it joins the likes of Mike’s Lemonade (which recently brought out a dirty version) and other hard lemonade brands. Will it thrive? Will it survive? Will it crash and burn? We’ll have to wait and see.
When Can I Get This New Party Pack?
Right now! Or, soon! Twisted Tea has told us that it’s currently being brought out across the country, and so it should be in a store near you soon. It’ll be available in 12, 24, and 30-can packs. To check where the nearest Twisted Tea products are to you, you can check out its website.
Plus, as a final touch with this release, Twisted Tea is also launching a competition that will allow its customers to…fly in a fighter jet. Yeah, really. Simply scan the QR code on the back of one of its packs to enter. The fighter jet flight is the grand prize, but there are still 25,000 opportunities to win other goodies.
