Wendy’s Is Launching an All New Cookie Dough Frosty—And They’re Offering Fans Early Access

The endless reign of cookie dough ice cream just isn’t letting up. We thought that when we did our official taste test of cookie dough ice cream, that would kinda be the end of it – we declared Ben & Jerry’s the winner, and that’s that. No more room for further products, people! But, of course, the world didn’t stop turning there. Shortly after we did that, Trader Joe’s released some cookie dough ice cream bites, and now Wendy’s is coming in with a cookie dough Frosty. These people won’t let us rest for a second.

If you want to give its new Cookie Dough Frosty Fusion a taste-test of your own, though, we’ve got some good news: You can score it a couple of days earlier than everyone else. Here’s how. 

What Is the Cookie Dough Frosty Fusion?

Ah, yes, we should explain that first. Wendy’s new Frosty looks like a classic cookie dough ice cream, but with slightly less of the tooth-breaking quality that it can have when you’ve just pulled it out of the freezer. It’s a combo of Wendy’s soft-serve with cookie dough pieces and brownie batter sauce mixed in. You can expect it to be chocolatey, chewy, sweet, and bearing the potential to provide you with a brain freeze. Take it slow, guys. 

When Is It Being Released?

The Cookie Dough Frosty Fusion is heading to stores on April 27. It’ll be a nationwide release, too. It’s not clear yet whether it’s a limited-time offer or not, but if you’ve always dreamt of a cookie dough Frosty, we wouldn’t advise that you rest on your laurels, hoping that this will be around forever. These restaurants loooove to snatch these things away.

Yes, you can! If you join the Wendy’s Loyalty program, you can get one of these Frostys starting today, April 23. All you have to do is download its app and join – it’s free. Then, order the Frosty through the app, and go to town.

No, this chain has been pretty busy the last few months, actually. It’s been both adapting old recipes and closing its stores, the latter of which sounds very dramatic, but in pursuit of a healthier restaurant portfolio.
