We Tried Nothing Bundt Cakes’ DOVE Chocolate Raspberry Cake (and Found Out About an Exciting Sweepstakes!)

Another day, another little treat to review. Today, we’ve got our hands on Nothing Bundt Cakes‘ new Valentine’s Day collaboration with DOVE Chocolate. This chocolate raspberry cake is topped with an iconic DOVE chocolate heart, but will it top our to-be-written Nothing Bundt Cakes flavor ranking? There’s only one way to find out.

Nothing Bundt Cakes’ Chocolate Raspberry Heart Made with DOVE

Pros: Like a shot from Cupid’s arrow, the first bite of this cake hits you. The strength of the raspberry purée definitely overpowers the muted under-layers of chocolate and cream cheese at first, but after a few bites, the raspberry settles just in time for you to enjoy how rich and moist the base cake is. This will make for a sublime Valentine’s Day dessert.

Cons: The strength of the raspberry flavor may scare off anyone who isn’t a diehard fan of fruity desserts. Since they didn’t skimp on the purée, the flavor is present in every bite. I personally consider it a positive that this cake leaned into the real-fruit factor so strongly, but it won’t be for everyone. Lastly, the DOVE heart isn’t a perfect cherry on top; if you eat this cake straight from the fridge, it’s a harsh snap of a bite that stands out from the rest of the experience.

This raspberry-stuffed cake is available now through February 15th, only in Nothing Bundt Cakes’ Bundtlet format. While the nutrition facts labels claim Bundtlets contain two servings, we all know these are easily single-serving cakes for grown people.
