Salad Stuffers Aren’t the Only New Items at Panera, Here’s Everything Confirmed on the New Menu

What’s better than a salad? Stuffing a salad into a hunk of bread. That’s what Panera is hoping we’ll think in the coming weeks and months, anyway. A couple of weeks back, we brought you the news that Panera might be bringing Salad Stuffers to its stores, after a leaked menu hit the internet and gave us a sneak peek of what’s coming up. Well, the rumors are true! It is – and we’ve got even more details for ya on its new menu. Here’s everything to expect coming up.

Salad Stuffers

The flagship announcement this season for Panera is its Salad Stuffers, which were finally confirmed in a press release made public yesterday. Panera’s calling these a “bread bowl for your salad,” but let’s be honest: They’re sandwiches with a salad filling. 

You can make any of its salads into a Salad Stuffer (they’ll be popped into its new Italian Stuffer roll, which kinda looks like a hollowed-out baguette). However, Panera is also debuting two salad styles which are intended for use in its new bready vehicles – and thus, we’ve got:

Steakhouse Salad Stuffer

A combination of romaine lettuce and arugula, tossed in Panera’s new Farmhouse Ranch dressing (which is a buttermilk affair), with pickled red onions, grape tomatoes, and “frizzled” onions. Then, Panera adds in marinated sliced steak, applewood smoked bacon, and gorgonzola. 

Santa Fe Salad Stuffer

A base of romaine tossed with ranch, with grilled chicken and taco seasoning, feta, roasted corn, sweet peppers, pickled red onion, and blue corn tortilla strips. 

Marking the release of its Salad Stuffers, Panera’s CMO, Mark Shambura, said that “our guests who tested Salad Stuffers couldn’t get enough of our new Italian Stuffer Roll paired with new, bold salad flavors” (way to be confident in your own product, Mark!). “Just like soup in our bread bowl is the perfect match, Salad Stuffers bring salad and bread together in a way that is sure to be the next icon on the Panera menu.”

Lil’ Lemon Bundt Cake

Panera’s also launching its new Lil’ Lemon Bundt Cake alongside its Salad Stuffers. We discussed this in our previous article, but now it’s confirmed, people, confirmed. This single-serve Bundt cake is a moist, lemony affair, topped with an attractive drizzle of white icing. 

Returning Favorites

Returning salad alert! Panera’s bringing its Strawberry Poppyseed Salad back for another spin. The salad is a sweet-sour experience, with oranges, strawberries, blueberries, and pineapples, along with pecans, sliced chicken, and a poppyseed dressing.

New Drinks

No menu revamp would be complete without some new drinks – and Panera’s got that sorted with its new refreshers (which we’ve previously covered, but given that they’re part of its big spring revamp, they’re worth mentioning here). Panera’s just premiered its Dragonfruit Sunset Energy Refresher and Passionfruit Paradise Energy Refresher, as well as a Cherry Lime Fresca and a Strawberry Basil Lemonade Fresca.
