Starting August 17th, the take-and-bake chain brought its long-requested Chunky Italian Sausage back to the menu for good, meaning you can add it to any Papa Murphy’s pizza from here on out. To mark the occasion, it’s also launching a brand-new pizza built to show the sausage off: Grandma’s Pizza, the biggest pizza Papa Murphy’s has ever made.

There’s more to this than the sausage coming back, so here’s what’s actually going on.

Sausage Is Officially Back For Good

The permanent news is the sausage.

Chunky Italian Sausage has built a loyal following, enough that guests kept asking for it back. Papa Murphy’s is now making it a permanent staple rather than giving everyone another limited-time comeback to stress about.

You can add it to any of Papa Murphy’s crusts and recipes, so you’re not locked into the new pizza if you already have a go-to order.

Then There’s The New Grandma’s Pizza

Grandma’s Pizza is a large, rectangular, pan-baked pie with a crispy crust and golden edges. The featured version comes layered with creamy red sauce, classic marinara, whole-milk mozzarella, Papa Murphy’s signature herb and cheese blend, and, of course, the returning Chunky Italian Sausage.

And yes, it’s Papa Murphy’s largest pizza offering yet.

The catch, though, is that while the sausage is permanent, Grandma’s Pizza itself is only available for a limited time, from August 17th through October 18th.
