Popeyes seafood menu is back and better than ever. To celebrate Mardi Gras and get ready for Lent, the Cajun fast food chain is offering four new dry rub options of its Shrimp Tackle Box and bringing back a few previous seafood favorites, starting today. It’s a game-changer for pescatarians like me who wish there were more options besides the standard fried shrimp and vegetarian sides.

What’s on Popeyes’ seafood menu?
Let’s start with the returning favorites:
Flounder Fish Sandwich ($5.99): The fish sandwich, previously offered for Lent, features light, flaky flounder, battered and marinated with the same herbs and spices as the fried chicken. It’s available in both classic and spicy versions.
Surf & Turf ($5.99): This includes four buttery shrimp and two chicken tenders, paired with a side and a biscuit.
Fried Pickles ($3.99): At last, the fried pickles return to Popeyes! They’re battered in the signature Popeyes seasoning blend and come with a side of ranch dipping sauce.
Butterfly Shrimp Tackle Box ($5.99): This tackle box comes with eight butterfly shrimp, with the same signature Popeyes herbs and spices. It’s served with a side and a biscuit.
That’s all well and good, but here’s what’s new to the menu:
You can now upgrade the shrimp in your Tackle Box or in the Surf & Turf meal with a choice of four new It comes in four new dry rub options (previously only used on chicken wings):
Ghost Pepper: Do we think this new rub of Louisiana spices mixed with ghost pepper will actually be as spicy as it sounds? Only the brave will find out.
Buffalo: It’s Buffalo but it’s shrimp! It’s spicy and tangy—it’s Buffalo!
Garlic Parmesan: This garlic-parm rub is advertised as blending roasted garlic flavor with rich parmesan cheese.
Lemon Pepper: Zippy lemon, peppery pepper, crispy shrimp.
How long will this menu be available?
Not for long! But presumably through Lent, which ends on April 2. So you better run over to your closest Popeyes and start working your way through that menu.
