The Pride Month Coffee Blend We’re Excited About

I’ll say this much. There aren’t enough food brands that are crafting up something special for Pride month! I suppose there’s the occasional company that’s making donations with their classic lineup. I want to see more! Give me the original creations to show your pride. Make something fun! Give us what we want. Thankfully, Bulletproof has graced us with something to truly be excited about this June.

Bulletproof―New Limited-Edition Cardamom, Orange & Honey Ground Coffee

Bulletproof has done the seemingly impossible. They’ve created an original recipe product to celebrate Pride month. In partnership with GLAAD, who they will be donating 100% of the profits to from this release, they’re selling this flavor until August 31st. That’s right! They’re not just stopping at the end of Pride month, they’re giving it to us all summer long.

The Meaning Behind The Flavors

Bulletproof went with hints of cardamom, orange, and honey in their Pride coffee blend to represent themes of expression and individuality and to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. It certainly is a unique set of flavors for a coffee, so I’d say they did well.

Cardamom was chosen because it’s a warm spice with global roots, honoring stories that are deep, diverse, and enduring. Orange is bold, vibrant, and impossible to ignore. Honey then smooths and grounds things down with sweetness that reflects chosen family and mutual support. Bulletproof uses real cardamom, orange peel, and honey in this blend instead of cutting corners by using artificial flavorings.

Bulletproof continues to use syrups or sprays in this coffee blend, which is their standard across all coffee roasts they produce. Likewise, the coffee is from trusted farms that protect fair wages and the environment. I realize there’s a lot of glazing for Bulletproof going on here but what can I say? I’m just really excited to see a brand that cares and puts their money where their mouth is.

Not Just A Cash Grab For Pride Month

While rooted in coffee, Bulletproof’s aim for the launch is to tap into a much larger conversation around how brands approach purpose-driven partnerships, cultural relevance, and community impact. At a time when many companies are reevaluating their Pride initiatives, it’s really nice to see Bulletproof tying its support directly to action. They even took the care to partner with LGBTQ+ artist and activist Shanée Benjamin, whose custom packaging artwork and creative direction bring themes of identity, visibility, and belonging to life across the campaign. Rather than slapping on some rainbows and calling it a day, Bulletproof designed this coffee blend with intention―and 100% of profits will be donated to GLAAD.
