The 2026 lineup includes the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Atlanta Falcons.
The Dolphins Sub Brings The Heat
Miami gets a chicken tender sandwich with a sweet-and-spicy flavor. The Dolphins Pub Sub starts with crispy chicken tenders, then adds sweet sriracha sauce and Boar’s Head 3-Pepper Colby Jack Cheese.
Tampa Bay Gets Chicken, Bacon And Cheese
The Buccaneers went with a combination that is hard to argue with. You have chicken tenders, bacon, cheddar cheese, and spicy gold sauce.
It is also a returning favorite, as Publix featured the same Tampa Bay-inspired sandwich in its 2025 NFL Pub Sub menu.
The Jaguars Sub Is All About BBQ
Jacksonville gets the most barbecue-heavy sandwich of the bunch. The Jaguars Pub Sub has crispy chicken tenders with coleslaw, bacon, cheddar cheese, and barbecue mayo. It is a lot going on between two pieces of bread, but that is part of the fun.
This one is also back from last year’s lineup, so Jaguars fans have already had a chance to discover whether chicken tenders and coleslaw belong together.
Atlanta’s Sub Has Peach Preserves
Atlanta’s Pub Sub starts with crispy chicken tenders seasoned with sweet maple flavoring. Bacon comes next, followed by peach preserves and sriracha mayonnaise.
The sweet preserves give the sandwich a completely different flavor from the other three options. The maple-seasoned chicken brings another sweet note, while the bacon and sriracha mayo help balance things out.
Only Four Teams Got Their Own Sub
Publix chose the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, and Jacksonville Jaguars because each team has a fun connection to a major year in the Publix’s history.
It starts with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 1979, Publix Deli launched boxed meals as tailgating grew in popularity. That same year, the Buccaneers won their division, picked up their first playoff victory, and hosted the NFC Championship Game.
Then comes Miami. Publix says its first customized Pub Subs were created in 1992 at store No. 33 in Marietta, Georgia. That happened to be the same season the Dolphins won their first division title since 1985 and made it to the AFC Championship Game.
Atlanta gets a Pub Sub because 2012 was the year Publix introduced its Buffalo-Style Chicken Breast Dip, which has since become a popular game-day food. The Falcons also had a big season that year, winning the NFC South and reaching the NFC Championship Game.
Finally, there is Jacksonville. Publix launched its 20-piece Plain Fried Chicken Wings in 2017, another deli item that became a tailgating favorite. During that NFL season, the Jaguars finished first in the AFC South and reached the AFC Championship Game.
So, if your team didn’t make the cut, you now understand why.
Grab One Before They Are Gone Again
The 2026 NFL Pub Subs are available for a limited time at participating Publix stores, so this is not a menu that will sit around indefinitely. Publix recommends checking its website to see whether a local store is participating.
