We’re never short of food trends in this life, but by my money, two of them have dominated the landscape more than any other in 2026. I’m talking, of course, about dill pickle flavors and protein in absolutely everything. In the first half of the year, we’ve had a relentless parade of items containing one of these two things: Dill pickle cheese, Fritos, and even Oreos have landed at our doorstep, while protein cereals, protein sodas, and plenty of other strange protein-infused foods have also appeared at a non-stop rate.

You know what we haven’t seen a lot of, though? Foods that have both. Quest is changing that with its new Dill Pickle Original Style Protein Chips. Let’s discuss.
Dill Pickle Original Style Protein Chips
Quest’s new Dill Pickle Original Style Protein Chips mark a new step for the protein snack brand, and it’s a pretty significant one: This is its first new Original Style flavor in over a decade. The humble pickle must be honored that it chose its taste notes for the occasion, huh?
As Quest is one of the pioneers of protein chips, it knows that its customers want a lot of it in their snacks – and so, like its other flavors, the Dill Pickle variety contains 19 grams of protein and four grams of net carbs. It’s also gluten-free and keto-friendly. In its press release, Quest says that the chips will have a “bold, tangy flavor with notes of vinegar and savory dill, offering a craveable balance of zesty and salty in every bite.” Zesty. Salty. Tangy. Craveable. All things we enjoy.
Quest’s new chip release is also accompanied by another new item that feels in a slightly more, shall we say, mainstream ballpark, in terms of its flavor. Quest’s new Salted Caramel Protein Milkshake will shortly follow the release of the Dill Pickle Original Style Protein Chips, and it’s a pure protein bomb, with 45 grams per serving. The protein shake also has just two grams of sugar and no net carbs.
Where, And When, Can I Find These New Chips?
Well, we’ve got good news for you, guys: You can find them right now, albeit in one place only. Quest’s Dill Pickle Original Style Protein Chips dropped as an Amazon exclusive yesterday, May 19. There’s no word yet on whether it’s a permanent addition to the line-up, or whether it’ll disappear without a trace – but given that Quest is touting this as a major new flavor, we’d hope it’ll stick around for a while.
As for the Salted Caramel Protein Milkshake, that’ll be available on Amazon and in Kroger starting from June 2026, and availability will expand to Walmart in August. Get those gains, folks.
