Here in the UK, we’re in the dog days of the hottest summer on record, with no fewer than five heatwaves (and a sixth one apparently on the way). So, forgive me if I’ve started to long for cooler climes and chilly breezes. I’m at my wit’s end! Retailers want you to start feeling like that too: Both supermarkets and food brands are currently dancing a merry dance of trying to sustain their summer stock while also looking forward to their fall products.

This week, we’ve seen evidence of the latter at Sam’s Club. The chain has just released a very cozy prepared meal, and it might well hit the spot over the next few months.
Member’s Mark Lasagna Soup
Sam’s Club has just dropped its Member’s Mark Lasagna Soup in its warehouses, and, as our own Vinz Karl noted in his roundup of new items at Sam’s Club this week, this is a two-pack affair. With each purchase, you get two pots of soup for $11.87 (although as ever, prices can vary!); have one now, keep one for later.
Member’s Mark Lasagna Soup combines beef, pork, and mafalda pasta in a creamy tomato broth. With 15 grams of protein per serving, it’s not the highest-protein dish out there – and in all honesty, with 280 calories in each portion, it’s probably not going to fill you up to the point where you can’t eat another bite. But if you want warming, comforting vibes without having to lift a finger, this might be the one for you. And let’s face it, it’s still too warm to cook a full lasagna (well, it is here, anyway). Take the pressure off, and put this in the microwave.
I Can’t Find It At My Store…
Yes; there does seem to be a bit of an availability issue with this one at the moment. Sam’s Club’s new lasagna soup was spotted by a couple of customers last week, but as of today, it’s listed as not available for pickup, shipping, and delivery on the store’s website. I did a little bit of searching of various stores around the country to see if it popped up at any of them – but alas, right now, it seems to be tricky to find. You might get lucky at your local store, but if not, hopefully we’ll get a more consistent rollout of it soon. We need to hear what people think of this one.
