Kids can get collectible figures or color-changing spoons!

We can all agree that the main draw for kid’s meals are the toys, as all kids (or adults—we’re certainly not judging) really want is a cool, fun toy to play with after they scarf down their burger or chicken tenders. Well, Sonic is playing hardball by partnering with Japanese company Sanrio to release a line of kids meals featuring beloved Japanese icon Hello Kitty and her various friends. Although, it seems a little weird to sell food with a character that doesn’t have a mouth. But maybe that’s just us.
What toys are they offering?
Every Wacky Pack will give kids either a scented character figure or a color-changing spoon. Each one will be themed to either Hello Kitty or one of her friends. The line up includes…
Five Scented Character Figures
- Hello Kitty (a cherry-scented cat)
- Pompompurin (a cookie-dough-scented dog)
- Chococat (a chocolate-scented cat)
- Kuromi (a grape-scented rabbit)
- My Melody (a strawberry-scented rabbit)
- Cinnamoroll (a vanilla-scented puppy)
Three Color-Changing Spoons
- Hangyodon (a half-fish, half person character)
- Keroppi (a frog)
- Badtz-Maru (a penguin)
What food comes in the meal?
We all know what the real draw is here, but if you’re curious, the meals come with choice of hamburger, chicken tenders, hot dog, corn dog or grilled cheese. You can also choose a side of Groovy Fries, tots or applesauce. And for drinks, you can choose a fountain drink, milk or apple juice.
When can we get ’em?
They’ll be available at Sonic stores starting on May 4th, and will run through May 31st. (While supplies last, of course. I wouldn’t wait too long, if I were you.)
