Move Over, Strawberry Shake M&M’s… Strawberries & Creme M&M’s Are Coming Soon

WEEOO WEEOO! Red alert! Or, should I say, red-and-pink alert, because a new M&M’s flavor is heading to town for those who love cute lil round candies but absolutely hate chocolate. So if you are my mom (hi, Mom), this is for you. These new white chocolate M&M’s have already been spotted in some stores and on Walmart’s website in advance of Valentine’s Day candy-buying season. So what does Mars have for us? White Chocolate Strawberries & Creme M&M’s, and I, for one, am intrigued.

Wait, didn’t they already make strawberry-and-white chocolate M&M’s?

Correct. This isn’t M&M’s first strawberry-and-white chocolate rodeo. In fact, it isn’t even their first strawberry-and-white chocolate rodeo this year. Last Valentine’s Day, M&M’s re-released White Chocolate Strawberry Shake M&M’s, which came out for the first time in late 2022/early 2023, and the Sporked team…well…we truly hated them. They tasted way too artificial, like strawberry milk with too much syrup. Before that, in 2016, there was also a White Chocolate Strawberry Shortcake M&M’s flavor that reportedly tasted significantly different from the recent Strawberry Shake iteration (when the Strawberry Shake M&M’s came out, people weren’t sure at the time if the newer flavor was simply a rebrand or a new product altogether, but it was, in fact, new).

But what does that mean for this new M&M’s flavor? The new White Chocolate Strawberries & Creme M&M’s are a different color than the Strawberry Shake M&M’s (just pink and red; no green this time), and the packaging is different as well. If this is a totally new M&M’s flavor, maybe it will be less syrupy-sweet and taste more like strawberry ice cream or some sort of more balanced creamy-fruity combo. Only time will tell.

While these new M&M’s were spotted on Walmart’s website, they aren’t available to purchase yet. That said, the item being up on the site is usually a pretty good indicator that we will be able to get our hands on these bad boys very, very soon. My mom is going to be stoked!
