We’re all big fans of a BOGO deal. I mean, why wouldn’t you be? You buy some stuff, and you get some more free stuff? That’s the kind of purchasing power I’m here for. Naturally, BOGO deals are big in the fast food world, and chains are finding increasingly left-field ways to offer them (see Chipotle’s hockey jersey BOGO deal, or its tattoo BOGO deal, to know what we’re talking about when we say that). A lot of the time, though, they’re as simple as getting double for your money.

That’s what Subway’s currently offering. You buy one footlong, you get another for free. Easy peasy. Here’s what you need to know.
Double the Footlongs
Subway’s footlong BOGO deal started on April 1, but it ends on April 28, so you’ve still got a good two weeks to take advantage of it. The deal is available to its Sub Club members, and all you have to do is buy a footlong through its app or on its website using the code FLBOGO. When you do, you’ll receive another sandwich, although it does have to be of equal or lesser value.
Just Tell Us the Terms and Conditions…
Okay, we’re getting to it. In addition to your free sandwich needing to be the same price or less as your paid one, there are also certain options that you can’t get, which include sandwiches from its Fresh Fit menu, its 5 Meat Italian, and its Big Hot Pastrami. You also can’t load your sandwich up with add-ons in the hope that they’ll slip under the radar – they’ll cost you more.
Importantly, too, this is an online-exclusive offer; you won’t be able to redeem it when ordering in-store. So make sure you download that app, people. You also can’t combine it with any other offers, and it’s one free sub per person. The good news is that you don’t have to be an existing member of the Sub Club; you can sign up and use the FLBOGO code right away.
And Why Is Subway Giving Away Its Sandwiches?
Well, aside from the fact that it keeps them competitive, Subway has also stated that it’s doing so to help people who are finding spiralling gas prices hard to take, and everything else besides. “We’re all getting less for our money lately, given the price at the pump, rising rents, utilities, and groceries,” said Subway’s CMO for North America, Dave Skena, in its press release. “So we’re offering our Sub Club members a great deal on their favorite freshly made sandwiches all month long.” Hey, we’ll take it!
Subway has been a little quieter than some other chains so far this year; while the likes of Taco Bell and McDonald’s have been relentless in their new product releases and menu updates, the sub chain has kept things at a slower pace. It’s a good time for it to be promoting its deals, though: Its competitor, Jersey Mike’s, has recently been facing accusations of making smaller sandwiches, and so it could be a good time for Subway to remind everyone of its footlongs once more.
