As soon as the weather starts cooling down and the leaves start falling, it’s time to fire up the oven and get creative in the kitchen. The foods of autumn—from warm seasonings to pungent herbs and spiced fruits—are arguably the most anticipated seasonal flavors of the year. Come on, why else does pumpkin spice keep making an appearance earlier and earlier in the year? We just can’t wait!

Among the brands that have been capitalizing on the popularity of fall flavors, Walmart’s bettergoods line is a major underdog. The brand acts as a competitor for Target’s Good & Gather with a focus on elevated versions of pantry staples and snacks with a bougie touch. Lately, bettergoods has been cranking out autumn-coded snacks, frozen meals, and desserts and honestly, we really like where Walmart’s head is at with these products. Here are our top picks for some must-have bettergoods goodies this autumn.

Spicy Maple Bourbon Pickle Chips

Where does one use Spicy Maple Bourbon Pickle Chips? To tell you the truth, we don’t really know, but that doesn’t make them any less delicious. They have all the sweetness and tang of bread-and-butter pickles with a major flavor boost. There’s subtle heat, plenty of autumn-y maple, and a touch of smoky bourbon that makes them complex enough to be the star of a sandwich or a great snacking pickle. Or, go big and use the pickling liquid and a few slices as a garnish in a fall-flavored bloody Mary.

Belgian-Style Cheesy Potatoes Au Gratin

Cheesy potatoes aren’t explicitly autumn-themed, but they certainly hit different once the weather gets cooler. These unique nuggets of au gratin potatoes are portioned into little elegant servings, so they’re great for dinner guests. Serve them as a side dish or even an appetizer. Come Thanksgiving, they’ll help bulk up dinner without having to put tons of legwork in.

Spiced Apple Pie Ice Cream

Apple ice cream is a seriously underrated flavor that deserves a spot among the greats, right next to cookie dough and mint chip—especially the way bettergoods does it. There’s no shortage of tiny bites of soft, sugary apple compote and chunks of crunchy pie crust. The sea-salt caramel ice cream base keeps all the sweet elements grounded with just the right amount of salt and warming cinnamon.

Sweet Potato and Praline Casserole

This one has “Thanksgiving” written all over it. Get creative and turn it into a dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, or stick with tradition and let it be the star side dish in a multi-course autumn feast. The potatoes are perfectly spiced and candied pecans give it a sweet boost—you might as well melt some marshmallow on top if you really want to go all-out.

Pumpkin Chai Blondie Bar Mix

Regular blondies are boring, okay? Pumpkin Chai Blondies, on the other hand, give what could only be described as a worse brownie the upgrade that it’s been begging for. The pumpkin flavor is pretty subtle here, and the chai spice is giving more pumpkin spice (there isn’t much of a peppery bite), but the blondies aren’t any less delicious for it. They come together easily, too, and are customizable with caramel sauce, crushed nuts, or white chocolate chips. Make sure to add a scoop of ice cream on top or serve a slice with a hot autumnal drink.
