The Best Chocolate Halloween Candy for Spooky Season

The best chocolate Halloween candy is fun, tasty, and usually individually wrapped. It should be sweet and delicious and visually inspired by Halloween. Whether it’s bright orange, looks like a pumpkin, or is filled with a goo-like substance that looks like blood, chocolate Halloween candy should, above all else, be fun!

We tried so many different types of Halloween chocolate candy that my dentist is now upset with me. In doing this, we did find the absolute best chocolate Halloween candy that exists. Sorry, Doctor Anderson! I must do what I do for the people. Happy Halloween!

Most Fun

Stuffed Puffs Monster Marsh Filled Marshmallows

These chocolate-filled, sprinkle-coated marshmallows are so much fun and definitely one of the best chocolate Halloween candy choices you can make. They look so Halloween-y! And they come individually wrapped, making them perfect for handing out on Halloween. If I was a kid and got one of these while trick-or-treating, I’d lose my dang mind. They’re also sickeningly sweet in the best way possible. Buy these if you want to be better than your neighbors.

Ghoul’s Mix Peanut Butter M&M’s

If you’re going to get a big bag of candy to put in a jar that’s shaped like a ghost this October, buy these Ghoul’s Mix Peanut Butter M&M’s. The orange, purple, and green are the perfect shades of Halloween colors and who doesn’t love an M&M? I particularly love these peanut butter M&M’s because they have just a hint of saltiness. Guests will shovel these into their mouths at your Halloween party this year because they are one of the best Halloween chocolate candy choices you can make.

Best New Flavor

Witchs Brew Marshmallow Flavored Kit Kat

These are a hit for us every year. They taste like a Kit Kat had a baby with a marshmallow. The white chocolate coating is thick. There’s tons of crunch. The light green color is beautiful and haunting. I will be buying these every single year, so Kit Kat better not ever discontinue them. They are some of the best Halloween candy.

Best for Adults

Russell Stover Dark Chocolate Coconut Creme Pumpkin

These Russell Stover Dark Chocolate Coconut Creme Pumpkins were a standout in the chocolate Halloween category for us this year. The dark chocolate is rich, subtle, and not too sweet. The coconut creme is so light and fluffy and gooey. It has a slight saltiness. And the pumpkin-shaped outside is super cute! We found these at Grocery Outlet Bargain Market where they were three for $1, and we think that’s a real steal. You will definitely want at least three of these.

Best of the Best

Reese’s Bats

You simply cannot beat the bat. Reese’s Bats are iconic. They are so much better than normal Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Something about the ratio of peanut butter to chocolate in the Halloween Reese’s is just so much better. These are creamy, chocolatey, peanutty, salty perfection. Yes, we know you like the pumpkins. We like the pumpkins, too! Just give the bats a try, though. We promise you’ll love them.
