Everyone has a beloved memory to reflect on that involves a delicious Keebler cookie. Whether it’s the Sugar Wafers, the Sandies Pecan Shortbreads, or Vienna Fingers, they’re always floating a boat for an easy and delightful sweet bite. Plus, they’re super accessible being available in most grocery stores and often available at gas stations! But I’d bet that for the most of us that precious cookie in mind is the Fudge Stripes. They’re an iconic treat that are frankly are always better and more satisfying than I expect them to be.

The cookie itself is almost like the texture of an animal cracker. And you would think that it’d be an overwhelmingly dry treat, but you’d be wrong. The creamy chocolate gives it body and silkiness that it would otherwise be missing. And they’re simply adorable. And now, in celebration of all the spooky and fun fall festivities Keebler is giving the iconic Fudge Stripes a Halloween makeover for the second year in a row. Let’s break it down together, shall we?
The Colors Of Halloween Have Come To Keebler
You’ve got to keep it pretty classic when it comes to Keebler cookies, so it’s only natural that the Halloween rendition of the classic Fudge Stripes is a pretty simple variation. It’s simple, but a powerful change in flavor and color. The Spookie Fudge Stripes are made with a chocolate-y vanilla cookie instead of the classic vanilla cookie and uses an orange colored vanilla fudge for the stripe coating instead of the typical chocolate. The tops of the cookies are imprinted with the shapes of different jack-o-lantern faces, too! Visually, they’re the perfect twist to Fudge Stripes for celebrating all of the autumn festivities with the black-ish and orange colors.
Fans Already Have Opinions
These cookies were introduced for the first time last year at Halloween and they went down a smash hit. A review on Walmart’s website reads, “These spooky cookies have a great texture and flavor and are great for Halloween. The cookie portion tastes like chocolate graham crackers, and the icing is delicious. All in all hit for Halloween.”
And another reads, “I like the packaging, flavor, and value. I like the texture and how fresh these cookies are!” After the first years’ success, they’re officially returning to stores this month. But they will have limited availability, so if you’re looking to keep these on hand throughout the season it’s a good idea to stock up while you can.
