It’s the end of September now, and you all know what that means: it’s officially spooky season. Starting tomorrow, October 1, those of us in the States should be prepared for an absolutely obnoxious amount of holiday spirit for the scariest time of year. Kicking off the festivities right in time for October is Dunkin’ with the announcement and release of their limited-edition Halloween menu just this morning. While they may not be bringing back their iconic Spider Specialty Donut this year, they are continuing their year of innovative flavors and new creations with this jam-packed menu of all-new items. From the new Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam to their brand-new Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero flavor, there’s a whole lot of new for you to sink your fangs into. Let’s get into the menu, shall we?
The Full Spooky Lineup
- Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero — Dunkin’ Zero is the company’s version of a zero-sugar energy drink. And, this Halloween menu is the debut of their new, crisp green apple flavor of the Dunkin’ Zero drinks. But beyond the distinctly autumnal flavor, the drink has a vibrant lime green color to it that is perfect for the season ahead. This classic rendition of this new flavor is simply mixed with sparkling water.
- Midnight Apple Dunkin’ Zero — This drink is a simple twist on the new Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero flavor, and it’s given darker notes through the addition of blackberry flavoring.
- Candy Kiss Dunkin’ Zero — Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero is mixed with mango flavoring for an extra fruity, candy-inspired drink. We can imagine this tastes like a tutti-frutti gummy of sorts with its bright flavor, and we’re excited.
- Orchard Twist Dunkin’ Zero — The sweetness of Dunkin’s peach flavor combines with the crisp, tart apple flavor of the new Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero into this limited-edition drink that we can only imagine tastes like a sour peach ring candy.
- Sour Apple Energy — This is the first drink in the collection that really starts switching it up with the mix-ins outside of just a new flavor here and there. This Sour Apple Energy drink makes the Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero with tart lemonade instead of sparkling water to give it an extra sour kick. To balance some of that sourness, it’s topped with the brand-new Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam. The combination of the bright green drink with the velvety pale purple topping is distinctly reminiscent of the season and feels very on the nose.
- Dark Spell Daydream Refresher — Moving away from all those apple drinks, this beverage takes into the land of refreshers. Specifically, this drink is made with Dunkin’s Daydream Refresher in the berry clementine flavor. Blueberry flavor and oatmilk are added to the drink for an extra purple, creamy look, and then it’s topped off with the Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam. It’s name feels like a perfect representation of the look of this drink.
- Terror-misu Cloud Latte — This drink is essentially just a standard Dunkin’ latte made with milk and espresso. But, it has the addition of their seasonal tiramisu flavor and is topped off with their new Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam.
- Franki Matcha — This version of the Dunkin’ matcha is made with whole milk and added vanilla before getting topped with the Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam to give it a look reminiscent of the classic Halloween monster, Frankenstein.
- Creepy Crawler Coffee Chiller — This is the only frozen drink on this menu, and it comes as a frozen coffee slush blended with the fall tiramisu flavor. It has the Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam drizzled about and is topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
- Midnight Potion Refresher — This Berry Clementine Refresher with blueberry flavor is mixed with green tea, making it one of the simplest items on this Halloween menu. However, it still has a distinctly haunting color.
- Werewolf Punch Refresher — Blackberry, clementine, mango, and pineapple flavors are combined with lemonade to make this refresher to make a flavor that Dunkin’ is calling “potion-inspired.”
- Nutty Nightmare Iced Coffee — Dunkin’s standard iced coffee with cream is mixed with tiramisu and toasted almond flavors. While this is certainly one of the most basic items on the Halloween menu, it sounds like it has the chance to be one of the most delicious. And, we appreciate the inclusion of one more coffee-based drink.
