Tombstone Is Dropping French-Fry Crust Pizza: Here’s Everything We Know

Pizza is great. Fries are great. And now—drumroll, please—Tombstone has gone full mad scientist and combined them into one glorious creation: French-Fry Style Crust Pizza.

These aren’t your average frozen pizzas—the kind you devour post-night out in a noble attempt to outpace a hangover, only to finish the leftovers the next morning when the hangover still shows up like a wrecking ball—this is French-Fry Crust. As someone who fully embraces the joy of unapologetically junky, indulgent food, this crispy, potato-y, cheesy pizza monstrosity sounds very much like my kind of chaos. Also cool? This new late night treat is gluten free (yay for potato crust!).

What do you mean “french fry-style crust?”

“French-fry style crust” is exactly what it sounds like: pizza crust made up of french fried potato instead of dough. Will it french-fry effectively and deliver crisp results in your oven, though? Stay tuned for our official review (coming soon).

What kind of toppings will be on these new Tombstone pizza monstrosities?

Tombstone French-Fry Style Crust pizzas are available in two bold new varieties (and both are super meaty, sorry vegetarians). First up, is the Loaded Bacon Cheddar. This crisp potato crust is doused with a cheddar cheese sauce, loaded with mozzarella and cheddar, and topped with bacon and pork belly. As someone who firmly believes there’s no such thing as too much bacon, I’m excited.

If, for some unfathomable reason, you aren’t a bacon fiend, there’s the Chili Cheese pizza, with hamburger chili cheese sauce, topped with even more cheese, red onion, and parsley.

Where and when can you find these new frozen Tombstone french fry pizzas?

You can find both flavors at Walmart and other select retailers this July. Get them in the freezer section for $6.46 a pop.
