Girl dinner never went away. Yes, its moment of peak virality might have passed, but the concept remains strong and appealing. A solo, snackable meal, put together with next-to-no effort and enjoyed solo, without anyone killing your vibe? Now, come on. That’s timeless. And Trader Joe’s knows it.

How do we know that it knows it? Because it’s just brought out a new item that its customers are instantly naming as a girl dinner option – although for some, it’s missing a few key components. Let’s discuss.
Trader Joe’s Charcuterie Party Of One
Trader Joe’s has just dropped its Charcuterie Party Of One plate (which isn’t really a plate – it’s sort of more of a snack pack, or, as one person said on Reddit, an adult Lunchable), and it’s tailor-made for everyone who’s ever wanted a couple of pieces of cheese and meat without having to buy a whole tray of salami. That includes me, incidentally: I can’t count the number of times I’ve done that, only to find it a few weeks later, after I’ve had the three slices I wanted, with a suspiciously shiny look to it. Into the trash it goes; money down the drain.
But I digress. This solo charcuterie plate comes with uncured Milano salami slices, slices of mozzarella cheese, and sesame crackers. It’s not huge, but if you don’t have the energy to make anything and you’re not that hungry, it’ll likely sate your appetite for a spell.
Just Add Olives
The verdict on the Party Of One plate has so far been pretty positive. Along with various people calling it peak girl dinner, customers have also said that what you get isn’t bad for the price (although someone did point out that it needed olives, which I definitely agree with – a bit of greenery’s never a bad thing on a charcuterie board). The use of mozzarella instead of a different, more charcuterie-appropriate cheese has raised some eyebrows, and it would have been nice to see something a bit punchier and riper here, but it does give it some versatility, and it’s good for melting. Apparently, people on TikTok have already been taking advantage of this by combining it with fig jam on the crackers, and then putting them in the air fryer to melt the cheese.
Naturally, that sounds delicious; naturally, I’m sold. If you are too, it’s available now for all your snacking, dinner-ish needs.
