It’s July at Trader Joe’s! Enjoy some much-welcomed AC blowing on that fresh sunburn, and peruse new products Trader Joe’s has stocked up on for your next day of summer activities.

Whether you’re putting together a park picnic with your friends, hosting a dinner party on your patio, or going to work like every other day because media misled you into believing that the world stops to accommodate your summer fun, there’s something new at Trader Joe’s to help assure you that the world still turns despite the cold, unmoving nature of those blank, seasonless cubicle walls.

Anyway, here are some new Trader Joe’s items we peeped on our last trip.

Strawberry and Watermelon Marshmallows

Since toasted marshmallows are scientifically proven to be the best part of campfires, TJ’s was smart to level up the summer favorite. Thanks to powdered strawberry and watermelon, these fruit-shaped marshmallows combine the favorite summer daytime flavors and fuse them with the quintessential summer night treat of marshmallow. This new Trader Joe’s sweet is creative, tasty, and will give you plenty of energy to swat away mosquitoes.

Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip

The flavor of ranch and protein from cottage cheese come together in this unexpected new Trader Joe’s dip. Made with cottage cheese, a bit of Greek yogurt, buttermilk, and classic ranch herbs and seasonings, this dip is whipped up until it’s light and creamy—and refreshingly reformed from the chunky cheese of our grandparents’ breakfast bowls. Dunk your carrot sticks in it, spread it on toast, drink it with a straw. We will accept you, no matter what.

Pistachio and Fior di Latte Gelato

We hate deciding on just one flavor of gelato, so we consider it a personal favor that Trader Joe’s sells a two-in-one of the sweet Italian favorite. The package is split into quarters, so you get two parts pistachio gelato and two parts fior di latte gelato. The classic pistachio’s nutty, roasty, toasty flavors play off of the subtle “fior di latte,” meaning “flower of milk,” which is a lot like a pure, unadulterated gelato. Need more convincing? This new Trader Joe’s ice cream just made our list of the best Trader Joe’s ice cream to buy.

Strawberries and Cream Cloud Cake

We’ve drooled over elegant, light cakes with delicious, saucy fruit tumbling tastefully off the side way more than we’ve felt up to making them. Luckily, we usually have the energy to take something out of the freezer to defrost, so this frozen cloud cake is totally up our alley. TJ’s has already prepped and assembled the sponge cake, custard filling, whipped cream, and sauced strawberries into a show stopping dessert that’s light enough for summer and delicious enough for any occasion. All you have to do is wait and plate!

Risotto Semplice

Risotto is famously a labor of love, due to the process of constant stirring and slowly adding liquid to coax the starches out of the rice. Realistically, we watch four seconds of a TikTok before getting bored—are we really going to babysit rice? Nah. It’s July, and we’ve made a game out of seeing which sweat drop makes it from our back to our swamp butt fastest. But, can we press a button on the microwave and wait 4-6 minutes to reap the rewards of someone else’s hard work? Sign us up…especially if we can watch TikToks while the food cooks. This frozen risotto (which we gave a high score in our official review) includes sunflower and olive oils, onion, vegetable broth, saffron, butter, and cheese, making it the perfect simple side, or a base for added veggies or protein.
