If you’re a loyal Trader Joe’s shopper, you know fall is their peak season. Fall is when TJ’s offers their best array of seasonal goodies (beating out Easter and winter holidays for SURE), the vibes are immaculate, and the store smells like a candle shop—if you could eat the candles. Pumpkin products and pumpkin spice flavors reign supreme. And this year there is an exciting new opportunity for all of you Trader Joe’s pumpkin product-loving fiends: FinanceBuzz, a personal finance site, just announced they are looking to hire a “Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Pundit.”
So what exactly does the job of a Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Pundit entail?
Well, it is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. FinanceBuzz would give you a $500 dollar Trader Joe’s gift card to buy a bunch of Trader Joe’s pumpkin spice and pumpkin products, and then pay you $1,000 to photograph each item, rate it, and write a brief description. The website would then share the results to help TJ’s shoppers decide which snacks are worth spending their money on. What a noble cause, FinanceBuzz! As a TJ’s shopper myself, I couldn’t bee anymore grateful. Buzz buzz.
So, how do you apply to this job if you happen to be, say, really, really obsessed with Trader Joe’s autumnal glory? Well, as research for this article and definitely not because of personal interest, I looked into it and it is surprisingly easy to apply. Just click on the job description before August 28, scroll to the bottom, provide your name and email (and social media if you want), and answer a few questions about how you feel about TJ’s, how often you shop there, and why you want this job. It’s one of the easier job applications I’ve seen. And if you get hired, you’ll get to eat all of the perfectly pumpkin-y products your pounding, pumpkin-loving heart desires!
I may not be applying for this specific gig, but you can bet I’ll still be furiously searching the web to find out what the best fall Trader Joe’s items are this season. Then I’m going to ignore what the internet says and buy all of them anyway.
