Probiotics are everywhere right now. To be honest, they have been for a minute, and probiotic yogurts have been a staple of supermarket shelves for a good few years now (and, of course, the likes of kimchi and sauerkraut have been around for millennia) – but 2026 has seen an explosion of popularity in the probiotic food and drinks space. Now, we have more probiotic soda options than we care to name, and healthy probiotic snacks seem to be the next big thing.

Welch’s is definitely aware of the new power of probiotic snacks – and it’s jumping on the trend with its new product. Welch’s Probiotic Yogofruits are its newest invention in the snack space, and we’re here to talk about it.
Welch’s Probiotic Yogofruits
Welch’s Probiotic Yogofruits combine the snackable nature of the brand’s Fruit Snacks with a feeling that you’re looking after your gut health. The snack combines a strawberry or peach-mango fruit center (made with whole fruit) with probiotics and a yogurt coating, and each serving contains three grams of fiber and two billion probiotics. In keeping with another big 2026 trend, which has seen brands like Jell-O release its new Simply range, these fruit snacks will have no artificial dyes. They also have no corn syrup and are gluten-free, peanut and tree-nut-free, and non-GMO.
Welch’s Probiotic Yogofruits are, as the company says, a direct response to what customers are looking for these days. “With consumer demand for gut-friendly foods surging, probiotics, and fiber have become breakout priorities in the snacking aisle, reflecting a broader shift toward snacks that support digestive wellness,” said Lisa Eustic, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Snacks for PIM Brands, in a press release. Eustic went on to say that PIM Brands’ extensive experience in supplement creation lends these snacks credible expertise. They’re not just probiotics in name.
When Can I Find Them? And Where?
Well, they’re not out just yet – but they’re on their way, people! Welch’s Probiotic Yogofruits will be dropping this June, and we would imagine that they’ll be available at major retailers. Until they arrive, you can check them out on the Welch’s website. Y’know, just to build up that sense of excitement.
It’s unclear yet whether Welch’s Probiotic Yogofruits will unseat regular Welch’s Fruit Snacks as Gordon Ramsay’s favorite (yeah, we know, we were surprised too), but hey: The chef’s got taste, so if they do, you know you’re on to a winner. Let us know when you spot them in the wild, and how they taste.
