Wendy’s Is Celebrating Singles with a $1 Deal

Isn’t Valentine’s Day exhausting? If you’re in a relationship, it’s the time of the year when you’re faced with an endless number of ways to tell your spouse or partner that you love them (and surprise, surprise, most of them cost money!)—and if you’re single, it’s the time of the year when you have to endure all of that noise. Plus, there aren’t a lot of food companies out there that are coming out to bat for people who aren’t in relationships during Valentine’s Day: Most of the time, they’re too busy selling their latest batch of red-and-pink goodies and Valentine’s Day candy to care.

Well, not Wendy’s. This year, it’s flying the flag for all the unpartnered people out there, with its $1 Dave’s Single Deal. You know what? We’re into it. 

Celebrate Your Singledom on February 15

Wendy’s “Single for a Single” deal is basically exactly what it sounds like: For one day only, you can grab its Single Cheeseburger, which comes adorned with two slices of cheese around one patty, for a buck. You’ll have to order through its app (for which you’ll need to be registered), and the offer is only available at participating stores, but those are pretty much all the terms and conditions. We’d advise calling your local restaurant to make sure they’re running the deal before you make the trip, though, to prevent any disappointment when you arrive.

In an interesting twist, this offer from Wendy’s is only available the day after Valentine’s Day, on February 15. Wendy’s picked this date to coincide with Singles Awareness Day, an unofficial holiday that began becoming popular in the early 2000s, as a way and a time for people to celebrate their singledom, while everyone else was nursing their V-Day sugar hangovers. Bear in mind, though, that once this deal’s gone, it’s gone. You have 24 hours, people, so start planning your post-Valentine’s trip now. And if you’re not actually single…don’t worry, we won’t tell.

For Wendy’s, It’s Flavors Over Fads This V-Day

We’ve gotta say, we’re fans of this deal from Wendy’s—not only because it’s turning the typical Valentine’s Day offer on its head, but also because it’s not trying to reinvent the wheel…unlike some restaurants. Over at McDonald’s, someone has decided this year that its big Valentine’s Day special should be McNugget caviar kits, which are just as wild as they sound. Oh, and at LongHorn Steakhouse, it’s making steak commitment rings. You read that right. Rings. Made from steak. Yuck.

The Wendy’s Singles promotion follows hot on the heels of its new meal deal announcement and feels very in line with its mission throughout 2026, which seems to be to maximize value for customers wherever possible. So far, so good—but let’s see what the rest of the year holds.
