What to Buy at Dollar Tree in December

While I certainly haven’t seen the numbers to back it up, I imagine Dollar Tree’s business skyrockets in December. Between the chance to get cheap wrapping paper for all the gifts you’re giving and the chance to give your credit card a well deserved rest after all that holiday spending, the $1.25 price tag on a wide selection of foods is too hard to resist. If you’re stopping in for stocking stuffers anyway, here’s what to buy at Dollar Tree in December to stock your freezer and pantry while you’re at it.

Red Baron Supreme Pizza Melt

This may be a quick and filling lunch, a fun alternative to traditional frozen pizza, or the one thing you can muster the energy to prepare when you simply must veg out all day—what ever the reason you choose to consume this Red Baron Supreme Pizza Melt, you’re in for a good time. It’s like a grilled cheese stuffed with pizza toppings, and it purports to get crispy in the microwave (please get back to us and let us know if that’s true). Dollar Tree is the undefeated champ of frozen meals on the cheap, and we love a Red Baron moment.

Jimmy Dean Morning Combos Mini Maple Pancakes and Maple Sausage Bites

It does say “Morning Combos” on the packaging, but don’t let the Jimmy Dean people dictate when you eat this little snack pack of mini pancakes and breakfast sausage bites. Sneak them into the movie theater, grab eight of them to eat on your couch during a rigorous Survivor marathon, or tuck them into your nightstand for a midnight snack. The best things to buy at Dollar Tree this month are the things that are helping us survive winter one way or another!

Norita Tonkotsu Miso Pork Ramen Bowl

So your holiday bonus hasn’t quite hit your bank account yet? We’ve got just the thing for you: ramen! But like, really nice ramen from Dollar Tree, ’cause you still deserve to eat like royalty. Heat up a rich and fatty bowl of miso pork ramen—save those sad 25 cent blocks of instant ramen for January when things get really grim!

Flipz Snickerdoodle Pretzels

Snickerdoodles are an excellent cookie option anytime of the year, but these cinnamon- and cream of tartar-tinged treats hit especially hard during the holiday season. Add these snickerdoodle-dunked pretzels to your list of what to buy at Dollar Tree this month, because I don’t think they’ll last long on Dollar Tree’s shelves (they certainly didn’t last long in my pantry).

Bomb Pop Nerds Ice Pops

December seems like an odd time to recommend popsicles. But hey, you need to strike while the iron is hot when you see something new at Dollar Tree! Grab these and throw them in the back of your freezer for warmer weather or use them to cool you down when you turn the heat on a little too high this winter. Either way, Nerds candy in popsicle form sounds too fun to pass up.

Hostess Strawberry Cheesecake Baby Bundt Cakes

Strawberry season has come and gone. All we’re left with to remember the good times is a box of Hostess Strawberry Cheesecake Baby Bundts from Dollar Tree. Wait, hold on. I’m being told that we can, in fact, get strawberries year round thanks to a thing called “global trade.” Interesting! Nonetheless, strawberries will be less delicious until summer rolls around again, so it’s good to get them however we can.

7 Days Soft Chocolate Croissant

I don’t know about y’all but a trip to Paris is not in my budget, especially after all my holiday spending. While a croissant from Dollar Tree probably isn’t the next best thing to one in the City of Love, it’s hard to argue there’s a more convenient option out there. Throw this chocolate-filled croissant (or its vanilla cream-filled sibling instead) into your basket and start planning out your next big trip!
