What You Should Be Putting Inside Bugles

I love Bugles. They are one of my comfort food snacks. I’m a nervous flyer and I always get them at the airport to soothe myself. I think they’re perfect on their own, but I also think we might be eating them incorrectly.

We all know the classic way to enjoy Bugles is to put them on your fingers and pretend you’re a witch. But as I get older and wiser, I realize that I’ve been missing a huge opportunity to fill these horn-shaped cornucopias with something rich and tasty. Here is what I think you should be putting inside every flavor of Bugles for a delicious little treat-in-a-cone.

Obviously the original Bugles could be filled with or dipped in pretty much anything because they are salty and wonderfully neutral. That being said, I think Rojo’s Street Corn Dip is perfect for Bugles. It’s savory, rich, salty, and a little spicy. The corn in the dip enhances the corniness of the Bugles. This dip is flavorful but mild enough to not totally overpower the Bugles flavor.

All the flavor of nachos wrapped into one small bite with no oven needed? Don’t mind if I do! You could heat up the bean dip or eat it cold. Either way, the cheesy nacho flavor of the Bugle will compliment the creamy bean dip. If you’re craving Taco Bell but too lazy to leave your house, this will satisfy that craving in a pinch.

Caramel Bugles &

Caramel apples are hard to eat, bad for your teeth, and a little pricey. Caramel Bugles with apple butter are cheap, easy to eat and share, and just as flavorful as a caramel apple. This is like the entire season of fall in a tiny cone. To enjoy the tastes of fall all year-round, munch on this snack combo.

Ranch Bugles & Trader Joe’s Buffalo Chicken Dip

Stuff your Ranch Bugles with Trader Joe’s Buffalo Chicken Dip for a mini buffalo wing bite. The Bugle adds a celery-like crunch and a cooling effect from the ranch flavor. Plus, the chicken makes this a heartier snack. This could practically be lunch if you eat enough of it!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bugles &

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bugles and Philadelphia Mixed Berry Whipped Cream Cheese come together to make a flavor sensation that tastes like a chocolate-covered strawberry meets peanut butter and jelly. It’s a sweet treat, without being too sweet. Make sure you grab the whipped version of this cream cheese, though. Regular cream cheese will be too hard to scoop and turn your snacking into an act of physical endurance and you don’t want that.
