White Castle’s New Slider Goes Big On Flavor

The fact that there’s no White Castle in the UK is something that devastates me on a day-to-day basis. Okay, that’s very dramatic of me, but I’d really like to try some of these sliders just once, folks. Sliders aren’t really a thing over here, and I just love the vibe of a tiny little burger. A perfect little package. A cute little bite of – okay, I’ll stop.

And I reeeeally like the vibe of White Castle’s new slider, which it announced just yesterday. Following hot on the heels of its new veggie burger and its slightly earlier Southwest-inspired menu items, it’s introducing a new chicken slider – and it’s bringing another menu item back. Let’s talk.

White Castle’s Garlic Parm Chicken Slider

White Castle’s new Garlic Parm Chicken Slider is a combo of three great entities – think The Powerpuff Girls, but for sandwiches. Garlic, fried chicken, and a mini burger, all coming together to (White Castle hopes) knock it out of the pack. The chain is clearly very proud of this one. “There’s nothing quite like the moment a new flavor just works, and garlic parm and onions on our Crispy Chicken Slider is one of those moments,” its chief marketing officer, Jamie Richardson, said in a press release. 

To the construction of this sandwich, then. The Garlic Parm Chicken Slider has a chicken patty topped with creamy roasted garlic parm sauce, made with parmesan, asiago, and romano cheeses, and crispy onions. Sadly, it’s not a permanent menu item, but you do have a while to try it: This slider drops on June 15 and will be available through August 23. It starts at $2.59, or you can grab it in a $6.99 meal, with two sandwiches, three mozzarella sticks, and a small soft drink. 

You Said Something Else Was Coming Back…

I did, didn’t I? Okay, here it is: White Castle’s Garlic Cheese also makes a return on June 15. This combination of cheese and roasted garlic is an option for any slider on the menu. Oh, and now, you can choose either American, jalapeño, or cheddar cheese on any one of your sliders.

As a final touch, White Castle is also offering a duo of freebies for its Craver Nation Rewards members. Head to one of its restaurants between June 15 and 21, and you can get a free Garlic Parm Chicken Slider – and if you buy one during the full period it’s available, you can also get a free three-piece order of mozzarella sticks. Like I said: Verrry jealous it’s not in the UK right now. A boy can dream.
