Wonka Finally Brought Back Golden Tickets (& 4 New Wild Candies)

Wonka has never really been the place you go for a normal piece of candy. This is a fictional factory where children get sucked into pipes, blueberries happen to people, and a three-course meal can fit inside a stick of gum.

So, when I heard Wonka was coming back with four new candies, I wasn’t expecting a standard chocolate bar with some almonds thrown in.

I was correct.

Ferrero is bringing Wonka candy back to shelves this November with four new limited-edition treats, including purple caramel-filled chocolate, citrus candy ropes, and Oompa Loompa-shaped gummies that burst with liquid raspberry-cola flavor when you bite into them.

Subtle, they are not.

Meet Wonka’s Four New Candies

First up are Wonka Magic Hats Chocolate Pralines, little hat-themed chocolates with different fillings inside. Ferrero has only named a couple of those fillings so far, including Caramellion and Magenta Elixir, which sound more like things someone would try to sell me at a Renaissance fair than any sort of chocolate I’ve ever eaten.

Then there’s the Wonka Purplypurple Milk Chocolate Bar. It’s a milk chocolate bar filled with purple caramel-flavored filling and covered in Wonka-themed designs. I don’t know what makes caramel purple. But then again, this is Wonka. I’m willing to let it go.

The Magic Garden Chewy Ropes go in a completely different direction. They’re lime-flavored chewy candy ropes with a softer lemon-flavored center, so there’s plenty of citrus happening in one piece of candy.

And finally, we have the Oompa Loompa Gummies.

They’re shaped like tiny Oompa Loompas, flavored with blueberry and strawberry, and filled with liquid raspberry-cola flavor. There are a lot of decisions happening in that sentence. Somehow, though, tiny liquid-filled Oompa Loompas feel exactly like something that should come out of the Wonka factory.

All four candies are made without artificial colors and are expected to hit shelves in November. Ferrero hasn’t announced pricing yet.

Golden Tickets Are Back, Too

It wouldn’t be a proper Wonka launch without someone looking for a Golden Ticket.

Each of the new treats will have a QR code on the package that you can scan to enter a digital Golden Ticket promotion. Instead of frantically peeling foil off chocolate bars in the grocery store, you’ll go through a digital unwrapping experience for a chance to win.

Golden Ticket winners will get a trip for four to the new Netflix House on the Las Vegas Strip, which is scheduled to open in 2027. There will also be additional instant-win prizes available.

And these four candies aren’t a one-off return. Ferrero says more Wonka products are already being developed in its Wonka Wonder Laboratories, although it hasn’t said what they’ll be yet.

Considering the first round has already given us purple caramel and gummies that leak raspberry-cola, I’m not even going to attempt a prediction.

Just maybe keep an eye on your nearest chocolate river.
