Just today, the Ghirardelli chocolate company announced that they are entering a whole new category of what their chocolate has to offer by venturing into a brand new aisle of the grocery store. This launch is a ready to eat product that utilizes their top-tier chocolate goods and creates something we’ve never seen from them up until this point. Let’s break it down.

Into The Snack Aisle, We Go

Ghirardelli’s chocolate has long been a favorite for many families and home bakers when they’re trying to create something of an elevated quality in their own kitchens. And, one of the obvious baked goods to use their chocolate for is chocolate chip cookies, of course. Beyond their individual squares of filled and solid chocolate, their chocolate chip options are something the brand has really become defined by. That’s not to mention how elevated their boxed brownie mixes, too. Regardless a chocolate chip cookie made with Ghirardelli chocolate is an no-brainer for a lot of American families. But now, you don’t have to mix it up yourself to get your hands on a cookie made with their chocolate.

That’s right, folks, the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company is releasing two flavors of Ghirardelli Crispy Cookies that you can buy ready-made in the grocery store. The brand new addition to Ghirardelli’s product portfolio promises the same chocolate quality and taste that people associate with the brand and simply translates it to a new format. 

The cookies are, as the name would suggest, a crispy-style cookie. So, you’re not gonna get that ooey-gooey texture that some people might prefer. That said, we know that there are still a whole whole lot of people out there who enjoy a crispy cookie from time to time. What we’re predicting is that these cookies venture more towards the Tate’s Bake Shop style, just with that signature Ghirardelli flair. 

The cookies will be available in a classic chocolate chip flavor and a double chocolate chip flavor. Both will be sold in packs of 10 and crafted with Ghirardelli chocolate chips. Look out for them now in your local grocery stores and stay tuned here for our official Sporked review.
