If you’re thinking about getting a jump on your holiday shopping, now is the time to start snagging advent calendars. The closer it gets to the holidays, the more likely they are to sell out, but if you act quickly, you’ll avoid FOMO altogether. One must-have pick for lovers of umami, spicy flavors, and savory noodles is the limited-edition Fly by Jing Advent Calendar, which is available in two versions for the first time ever: a 12-Day Advent Calendar and an all-new 24-Day Advent Calendar. Courtesy of Fly by Jing, I got a chance to check out the 12-day calendar for an early look at all of its delicious contents.

First things first, the Fly by Jing Advent Calendars typically sell out by early November. In fact, the 24-Day Calendar is already gone. The calendars make a great gift for long-time fans of the award-winning condiment and noodle company and those who are completely new to the brand. The 12-Day Advent calendar features a red box illustrated on the outside with pixelated pandas and holiday sweater motifs that carry over onto the interior panels that you tear away each day. Behind the panels are Sichuan-inspired gifts that include limited edition Fly by Jing items from fan-favorite flavors to never-before-seen products. Some people open them long before December and others wait until the holidays to get their fill. Either way, you’ll find pantry goods that will add flavor to your recipes and give you an excuse to experiment in the kitchen.

What’s Inside the Fly by Jing 2026 Advent Calendars (Spoilers Ahead)

The 2025 Fly by Jing Advent calendar was my introduction to the brand, and I’ve been using the condiments and spices ever since. If you don’t want to know what’s inside the 2026 Advent calendar, you can stop reading here and go buy it. However, if you want to know exactly what you’re getting in these beautiful boxes, check out the list below.

The Fly by Jing 12-Day Advent Calendar contains:

  • 1 Classic Soy Noodle
  • 1 Chili Crisp Noodles
  • 1 Sweet + Spicy Noodles
  • 1 Original Sichuan Chili Crisp
  • 1 Xtra Crunchy Sichuan Chili Crisp
  • 1 Xtra Spicy Sichuan Chili Crisp
  • 1 Sweet+Spicy Sichuan Chili Sauce
  • 1 Mala Spice Mix (limited edition)
  • 1 Sweet Shallot Sauce (limited edition)
  • 1 Sichuan Hot Honey (limited edition)
  • 1 Sichuan Hot Sauce (limited edition)
  • 1 Sichuan Chili Crisp Ornament

The only thing I wish the 12-Day Advent Calendar had is one pack of the Roasted Garlic or Creamy Sesame noodles that were released earlier this year. However, the calendar does include all three of the brand’s classic noodle flavors. Although it’s out of stock, the 24-Day Advent calendar had even more Fly by Jing goodies, such as chopsticks, a chopstick rest, and more.

If you’re considering a Fly by Jing Advent calendar as a gift for yourself or someone you love, the time to hesitate is through. One Advent calendar has already sold out, so get the other before it’s gone for good.
