Liquid Death just can’t stop. From water to tea to snortable powder, Liquid Death wants to be the only thing you drink. Of course, that can’t happen because Liquid Death doesn’t make energy drinks…yet. Yes, I’m saying what you think I’m saying: Liquid Death is getting into the energy drink game. Per the brand, we’ll all be drinking zero sugar sparkling energy drinks with “unextreme caffeine” in just a few months. Let’s get into the ghastly details.

What is “unextreme caffeine?”

“Unextreme caffeine” is Liquid Death’s response to the ever-growing market for energy drinks with half to over-half of the FDA’s daily recommended caffeine limit for adults. Per the CEO, Liquid Death is aiming to make their energy drinks nutritionally similar to a cup of coffee—around 100mg of caffeine per can. For reference, a 12oz can of Red Bull contains 102mg of caffeine, while a 12oz Alani Nu Energy contains 200mg. That lower per-can total means you could drink all four Liquid Death energy drink flavors in a single day! (But just because you can doesn’t mean you should.)

What are the Liquid Death energy drink flavors?

Unfortunately, the names we’ve received don’t give us a great idea of all four flavor profiles. The cans pictured in the initial reveal are: Tropical Terror, Murder Mystery, Orange Horror, and Scary Strawberry. Only time will tell what kind of flavor “Murder Mystery” is…

When will I be able to try Liquid Death Sparkling Energy?

Per the announcement made by Liquid Death’s CEO on LinkedIn (the natural habitat of all CEOs), these new drinks will hit shelves in January 2026. Here’s hoping our friends at Liquid Death will be able to send over early samples so we can review the lineup for you good people. (Actually, I’m not sure why I’m calling them my “friends” when they sent me spicy water recently. Would a real friend do that?)
