The New Winter Celsius Spritz Vibe Is Giving Aperol Spritz

The “winter” energy drinks are upon us. Alani Nu is bringing back Winter Wonderland, Red Bull is about to debut Winter Edition 2025, and Celsius just launched a “Sparkling Snowball Frost” flavored energy drink called Spritz Vibe. As we revealed in our initial coverage of this launch, it seems like this drink is embodying the energy of an apres ski cocktail hour. Celsius was nice enough to send over a couple cans of this new flavor and I cracked one open to start a very long day at NACS Expo. Let’s see if it has the kick I’ll need to survive.

Celsius Spritz Vibe Review

Walmart

Pros: I love this new Celsius flavor. When I first reached out to Celsius about this release, I was told this drink offers a “velvety mix of winter kissed citrus flavors,” which certainly sounds like an Aperol Spritz to me. And Celsius Spritz Vibe definitely lives up to the concept of that classic citrus cocktail with how bright and fruity it is. This is worlds apart from other energy drinks just in the authentic, strong bitterness of the citrus—I can’t imagine how tough it was to balance this flavor in the lab. Celsius, please knock one of your mediocre permanent Vibe flavors into an early grave and keep this going for good.

Cons: While I loved this drink, my fellow taste-testers had less unanimously positive things to say. One of them said she got notes of “grapefruit rind and floor cleaner.” As a Lemon Pledge enjoyer myself, I actually understand where she’s coming from. I really like this drink, but it could definitely be too bitter for folks with more of a sweet tooth.
